Wiegieboard said:Train takes half an hour or so from central. I could meet you beforehand and we could get the train in if you like? 11am sounds perfect.
Just let me know when to meet you. Obviously I have the morning free so it's your call dude.

Nice one mate, yeah let's meet up at the station before hand, say 10.15? That should let's us get a good session in and give you time to get sorted for the stuff your doing with Bryan.
AvatarWiegieboard
That sounds great dude.
10:15 in central it is on Monday.

As for my blog:

Cardio:

40 minutes in Neilston pool was a riot. Again on the Wednesday session there were weans EVERYWHERE making it impossible to swim in a straight line. None the less, I swam a lot better today than I did yeaterday.

Shoulder was feeling it afterwards but I iced it for 30 minutes upon returning home and am about to do another 20 minutes icing again just now.

Squats:
5 sets of 8 reps at 60kg
1 set of 23 reps at 87.5kg
My hand started to tingle because of the dodgy shoulder on rep 22 so I did another rep and then racked it to finish on 23. Had plenty more in the tank and was aiming for 30 so I'm a bit peeved about not finishing my set.

Deadlift shrug combo:
3 sets of 8 reps at 70kg

Seated barbell press:
1 set of 8 reps at 40kg
1 set of 8 reps at 50kg
kept it nice and light and fast

Rotator cuff:
2 sets of 20 with 1.25kg

Hammer curls:
2 sets of 10 with 12.5kg

Superslow incline bench:
1 set of 10 reps with 20kg dumbells

dumbell rows:
3 sets of 10 with 20kg dumbells

All in all I kept the weight pretty light today and had a good play around with different exercises. Hopefully keeping a little active will spurn me on to recovery with this dodgy shoulder.

Swimming tomorrow.

Had a nice big long swimming session today with Bryan Riddel and Graeme Martin working a few sprints, a fair amount of medium paced lengths, a few underwater lengths and a little technique work. My shoulder felt absolutely brilliant afterwards. No pain or heat in the joint at all and my flexibility was better than it has been as of late.
Because of this good session, I'm gonna miss out my Saturday. The stomach has been iffy for a couple of days, so just now I'd like both it and my shoulder to receive a little extra R&R before this impending Monday coming.
With Monday, comes the start of another 3 week cycle courtesy this time of Wishaw sports centre. I'll be training with Allen Steel and the weights will be higher for me than before. More than anything, I look forward to the front squats and the berbell presses though I understand that I'll still have to take it easy on the shoulders for at least another few weeks.

Bring on the heavy upper body day!

Fainted and puked on the way to training today.

Hospital time diagnoses an ectopic heart beat. Bedrest required until the condition stabilises. Gonna be out of training for a little while.

Thanks dude. Be assured that I'll do everything right with regards to getting over this as soon as possible. Then I'll be back as normal grinding out those sets and reps Happy

I haven't trained in 11 days and have lost 6lbs of bodyweight in that time having previously measured myself in the morning without food and now measuring myself now after dinner. Holy cow!
Wes
Unlucky bud, hope you get back on it soon.

How long do you reckon you'll be out for ?
AvatarWiegieboard
Hi dude.
I'm still having tests done etc. so unfortunately I can't be sure. With any luck I'll be back as soon as possible. I've fought tooth and nail for my strength gains and I don't wanna lose any of it.
Hope all's well.
AvatarBeard_Of_Iron

Thanks for the support gentlemen! I'll do my very best to get back to full strength and I'm sure it'll all blow over soon enough!

I decided that I felt well enough to do a light session today. All it took was a call from my buddy Kevin, and I was off to an Esporta for the both of us to hog a power cage for a while.

I kept the weights nice and light as not to keel over and die.

Squats:
5 sets of 5 reps at 80kg
I really had fun tonight with these. I was hitting ultra depth, pausing for a wee second before flying back to standing. My shoulder felt GREAT. No problems at all!

Bench:
5 sets of 5 reps with 80kg
Lowered the bar nice and slow, held it for a count of 2 and then fired the bar back up. No problems with the shoulder at all. Felt fantastic if a little heavier than it should have.

Parallel chins:
2 sets of 17 reps with bodyweight
1 set of 15 reps with bodyweight

Reverse crunches:
3 sets of 20 reps with bodyweight
The last 5 reps on each set were superslows.

This was a GREAT wee taster to get me back in business. My niggles seem to have righted themselves a good bit during my rest and if I'm feeling good on Saturday, I might just head over to the Palace and get some real work done. You don't quite realise how much you love something until it's gone for a while.

Great wee sesh!
