4500 calories a day?! Damn, your metabolism must be fast if you can eat that and stay around the 90kg range. I think I'd balloon if I ate that much.

I'm gonna cut right back on the alcohol and see where that takes my BW. Yeah, gone are my student days where I could have a session and then feel absolutely fine the next day!

9/7/07

Bench press (plus doubled mini-bands)- 80x3x2, 90x3x2, 100x3x2
Dumbbell rows- 60x5, 70x3/5, 70x6/4, 70x5/3 (R/L), 40x20/20
Hammer curls- 5x3
Band traction and mobility

Getting back into it. Gained back 1.5kg by tuesday and am feeling well fed now. Good speed work on the bench, although the last set of 100 was a bit too slow to really be speed work. Solid rowing but messed up my 1st set on the right hand as didn't put the wrap on properly. Then finished with some bi-annual heavy curls Happy

nice session, might be worth keeping the reps the same on both sides with the rows to prevent imbalances.

Don't mind the odd rep discrepency. Also forgot to put in my 40x20 set. I'll have to edit that!

Boar, I was camping in Patterdale. Just of the south end of Ullswater. I was camped at Side Farm campsite at the foot of Place Fell. Very nice area!

Pin pull (upper shins)- 220x1, 240x1, 260x1 (=pb), 272.5x0 (dam!), 240x3
Squat- 140x2x2, 150x2x2, 160x2x2, 150x2x2, 140x2x2
Trap bar deadlift- 140x3, 180x3, 200x3, 220x1

This is more like it! A great, long, hard session! Should have gone for 265 for a cert pb instead seeing the 600lbs in my reach. 260 went up nicly but 272.5 was welded to the pins Tongue Never mind. Speed squats were great. Trap bar was a random addition. Only done it once before, carn't say I am bowled other. Too much balance involved. Maybe after a few sessions it'd be cool?

Last big session before the Brits. Have some heavy sessions nxt week but start to taper down.

Floor press (comp grip)- 130x1, 140x1, 145x1, 130x4 (4RM Tongue), 120x5
Close grip bench- 70x10, 90x5
One arm pulldwons- a bunch of
Band dislocates

Nice session. Was absolutly beat this morning, still from last weeks training, so happy with some good floor pressing. Worked up to some decent singles but shut it down shy of any pbs. I did however put in a big effort on the 2 down sets. Last rep on both sets where huge grinds to lock out! After floor pressing I really flacked out. Close grip benching was s**te. Don't normally do em and now I know why. Then started to do some chins but just could'nt be bothered and therefore pussyed out and did one arm pulldowns! Lets just say I have started to tapper down Happy

Bent over raises- 10x1
Cable row- 10x3
Face pulls- 10x2
One arm cable upright row and press- 10x1
Shoulder mobility and stretching- une peu

Nothing much really today. Just a pre-hab/restorative session.

Tues did some depth jumping as subject for a collegues biomech reasearch into those 'spidey' pants sprinters are wearing now, and did some gripper work after.

Iain mate, you do realise it's August not July don't you? Just going by the dates you're posting for your workouts - wouldn't want you thinking you've still got over 6 weeks left until your comp.Wink

I'm really interested to see your workouts leading up to the comp, so I'll keep a hugely helpful eye out for any other typos; you can now save all your energy for the gym, thanks to me.Grin
