After the fourth I could only think of two possible words and with two goes left couldn't really go wrong*. Happily I got it on the first attempt *Or so I thought. I sometimes go to wordfinder.yourdictionary.com on completion and entered the two letters under "start with" and the last letter under "ends with" and found nine words, only six of these could be eliminated as they contained letters that were incorrect. Two of the three I had considered but there was a third. I consider it a rum word, and rather obscure and a little-used word but I was wrong to not consider it. Caution needed | ||

I never held it enough to make it happen but if the opportunity ever presented itself I would seize it. I ordered the day's special which was fish, chips and peas. It was served, as one would imagine, with a small ramekin dish of tartare sauce and a small jug of gravy. I could take or leave either of these things and if offered would probably refuse both. But I was not offered, they were just there. I was brought up to never leave food, so the tartare sauce was dispatched swiftly using three or four chips as carriers. Only an animal would pour gravy on fish and chips so I drank the gravy directly from the jug, and very nice it was too. Initially it was very warm and had to be sipped in the manner of a cup of tea but as it cooled it could be gulped with enthusiasm. This only served to improve matters | ||
