I’m approaching my next 5k attempt with similar logic. No point for unnecessary suffering. Grin

Row - 2x30 min, 3 minutes rest, UT1

Time Meters Pace Watts Cal/Hr S/M HR
1:00:00 15,748m 1:54.3 234 1106 25 149
30:00.0 7,987m 1:52.6 245 1141 25 149
30:00.0 7,762m 1:55.9 225 1072 25 149

Still feeling the pace going in to todays session but managed to talk my way into doing it. My UT1 HR band is 135 - 149, I usually just get up to 149 asap and hold it at that, but today I got it to 135 and just let it drift up to 149 over about 15 minutes, it made it considerably more tolerable. Last 5 minutes of the second set was as expected, although the session overall wasn't as uncomfortable as the 3x20 min on Friday.

Just noticed I passed a lifetime million meters at the weekend Grin that took some doing!

Run - 35 minutes UT2

Row - 30 min UT1, 1k cool down

Time Meters Pace Watts Cal/Hr S/M HR
30:00.0 7,925m 1:53.5 239 1122 26 148
6:00.0 1,686m 1:46.7 288 1289 26 149
12:00.0 1,582m 1:53.7 238 1117 26 148
18:00.0 1,556m 1:55.6 226 1078 26 149
24:00.0 1,553m 1:55.9 225 1073 25 149
30:00.0 1,549m 1:56.2 223 1067 25 149

Time Meters Pace Watts Cal/Hr S/M HR
5:47.6 1,334m 2:10.2 158 844 23 133

Went pretty much strait into the row from the run. Worked quite well, it was a fair bit easier to get my HR up quickly at the start. Still feeling it a touch from the long sessions Friday and Sunday but pretty sure I'll feel back to normal again tomorrow ready for some nice AT intervals!

Grin I started on the C2 just over a year ago, did just over 500,000m on it before taking a bit of time off, started again in May this year:

1,018,658
LIFETIME METERS

471,244
SEASON METERS

I've been using Ergdata since I started so pretty much everything except maybe the odd session is logged on there.

Excellent session.

I couldn’t face rowing in that heat today and instead chose to go out on my bike(easier option). Fair play to you for getting stuck in.

It was a warm session Sparrow. I've started putting a towel down under the C2 after excessive sweat pooling on the longer sessions. Iceman Grin I did used to get called Tremor at an old commercial gym I went to, something to do with deadlifting Roll-Eyes

Time Meters Pace Watts Cal/Hr S/M HR

Touch rushed today so skipped the warm up :/ decent session overall, glutes suffering towards the end, but I do think it's improving slightly.

Have you had the "joy" of meeting Iceman?

What strokes did you do in swimming and how successful were you?

Never met him, barely remember him from on here to be honest.

I competed at all 4 strokes, although I was by far best at breaststroke which I could hold my own at National level. I was in various different clubs from 8 - 17 and was training for about 14 hours a week just prior to packing it in, along with a couple of weights sessions. It was fun in a sadistic kind of way, but just too much in the end.

Swimming training sounds brutal. One of the support staff at my school is up at 4:00 each day for her son’s training. He then trains after school as well.

Ice Man is one of a kind for sure. “BALLOONS!!” he was heard shouting during a farmers hold event at a comp.
