I should have got this, it was so close... On lockout I had slowed right down, I always do on a max, and I thought my spotter was going to grab the bar. As I told them not to I lost some stability, stalled and couldn't finish the press, must have been about 2inches off. I was still pleased, I was expecting to feel crushed when I unracked the bar, but it felt fine. After this I'm confident I'll get it in the next couple of weeks 200xf Close again, but I felt it from the last one. 180x2 Failed the last bit on lockout of the third 140x12 Really happy with benching today, felt great. Sled Drag About 15m, 4 tyres on it, guessing about 160kg. Slight uphill one way with the harness on facing front, slight downhill on the way back facing backwards. 2x15m 2x15m 2x15m - 15 seconds out, 12 seconds back 2x15m - 16 seconds out, 17 seconds back Felt totally wiped out after these Axel FTOH no belt 65x10 65x10 65x10 Single clean then 65x10 strict 53Kg dumbbell x10 Kettlebell Swings 28x12 28x12 28x12 Log - 120xf, only just managed the clean, stupid really, jumped in with Sob and Walker. Done | ||

6:19.WTF Member 3359, 3677 posts SQ 250, BP 210, DL 295755.0 kgs @ 89kgs UnEq | Thursday 02/08/12 Bench LotsxBar 60x10 100x8 140x5 160x3 170x3 170x3 170x3 170x3 - Didn't feel like I would have managed another set of 3, very pleased with 4 sets though. 150x5 150x5 140x5 These last two sets were pretty fast. 140x5 Rack was in use so: A single clean and then strict press Barx10 40x10 60x10 80x5 90x3 100x1 I need to learn how to clean properly, these were s**t, they also aggravate my biceps / forearm. Belt clean and push press 110x1 120x1 130x1 - FTOH pb, didn't feel too hard 135xf - struggled too much with the clean, didn't have a decent crack at the press. I had to rush from this point, so not much rest between sets. Rack free so: Push press out of rack 135xfxfxf - Lifted out of rack then three attempts. Each one of these was closer than the previous one, and the last one was nearly there, think I'll get it in a couple of weeks. Strict press out of rack 100x3 80x8 60x10 Push press out of rack 100x8 Out of time I've been eating like a madman for the last couple of months, and I'm seeing some great strength gains from it. Put on about 7lbs so far and am going to carry on until I'm about 18stone first thing in the morning, hopefully sometime just before xmas. Plan then is to cut to 16stone 7lbs trying to keep most of the strength gains. Morning weight 16stone 13lbs | ||

Rack was busy so: Dumbbell swings, weight in one hand then swap 20x10 25x10 25x10 Could feel it on the hips again on these, I'm starting the get the technique better on them now. Set up the resistance bands (Green) in the rack. It took about 50Kg off the bottom of the lift, and I was holding the full weight from just over the knee. Hopefully these will help my lockout. All weights are what is on the bar at lockout. 100x10 140x5 180x5 200x3 220x3 240x1 250x1 260x1 260x1 Did the job, flew off the floor and I really felt them on the lockout, the 260's were hard. Short on time now: Squats 100x10 140x5 180x5 200x3 felt tired on these Static Holds 180x20Seconds 200x20Seconds 220x20Seconds Out of time | ||

To be honest, it's been great putting some weight on quickly, it's the first time I've ever done it and I'm pb'ing a lot more than I usually do. I know I'll be able to drop it easily when I need to, I just hope I keep most of the strength gains when I do. Pretty sure I could still get down to 105 overnight I needed to at the moment. | ||

Well pleased, wasn't too much of a grind, few more Kg there I think. 180x3 - Felt good on these 140x14 - pb 15th pinned me J-presses (I think) First time I've done these. Unrack the bar and lower it to the chest, then lift the elbows and bring the bar up to the forehead. From there press it like a skullcrusher to the start position. 40x10 40x10 40x10 Good for a change, felt it on the triceps. Bench from the floor out of the rack 100x10 120x10 130x10 SLDL 60x10 100x8 140x5 160x3 180x3 200x3 Front Squats, no belt 60x10 80x8 100x5 120x3 140x1 160xf - Just too much tonight Static holds 160x20Seconds 180x20Seconds 200x20Seconds 220x20Seconds - Back was twinging a bit on all of these. Well pleased with the Bench tonight, 200 has been in the back of my mind as a target for a couple of years now. I guess 5 plates - 220 is the next big one! Got to be a two year target. | ||
