If only I had enough big plates to see that. I have to rob plates from everywhere, I can get 240kg (on a standard bar) with 20's and 25's. After that is all its whatever I have. This is half the reason I'm going to use the bands and band configuration as a progression. I need ebay to be my friend so I can get some more plates without breaking the bank.

Thanks mate but the new plates should be arriving today. I thought £65 for 2x20 delivered was a total bargain so jumped right on it.

It's a nice dream. I think my trap bar has a bigger loading area. It's the heavy duty version so that would make sense. My new plates should arrive today so I can get working towards this goal.

The big concern is not if I can lift it but will my hands take it. I could feel them starting to open with 385 so and extra 15kg will be dicey. Of course I could use straps but if I can avoid it I will.

Cheers mate. It can be a bit frustrating working technique when I just want to load the bar but it will be worth it in the end. Landmine press is good fun but I don't intend to use it seriously, it simply wanted another press and z-press was out as the rack was in use.

Cheers mate. Using the bands as warm up and to build overall volume means I can get a lot of work down in relatively short time. It's a game changer that I wish I'd discovered years ago. I do need more bands though so I can just leave them set up in various positions.

100kg x 5 reps --Wow, very humbling, 100kg felt like 180. These actually hit my quads harder than front squats. I'll keep these in for a bit and see how things go.

Trap Bar Dead Lift --Low handles.
135kg x 3 reps
175kg x 3 reps
215kg x 3 reps
255kg x 1 rep --Something didn't feel right, in the bad sort of way. I think my position is off, it will take a few sessions to learn how to use the low handles optimally. I decided not to push my luck and left it there. This is actually quite a positive thing, it means I have an area of weakness that can be trained. Happy days.I think I need to vary my deadlifts a bit more. Something like 3 week cycles with different bars and heights. That should make me stronger across the spectrum.
