Eddie has just put on Instagram he's got things he still needs to tick off this year, and that he's not done yet

Not gonna lie I'm glad, strongman is more interesting with him in it

Does anyone think he’s going to log press 230kg?

Originally I would have said no, but with everything else he’s proven, I’m going to say he’ll do it

I dont see anyone else in britain weight 190 kilos and planning to retire before 30.

2 reasons i say maybe:

home ground
long buildup

1 reason i say no:

currently hes definitelly not in the 220 range, but still around 190 kilos bodyweight
is he gonna put more weight

His 180kg was fairly easy after the others. Probably at least around the 200kg mark right now. It’s doable. I also think it’s doable for Hixxy if he focuses on it. I wouldn’t rule out Z and Thor pushing either

If overhead maxes become more regular, we’ll probably see a dramatic rise in that too, just as we have in deadlift

The 180 went up so easy I do think he could have done the 200 and that's at the end of a medley. Another 2-3 months and I think 230 will go up!
I think hixxy will get close, 220 minimum.
If Z comes in heavy then I think he'll be there or there abouts too.
I think it's probably out of thors reach at the moment though

My thoughts on weekend

Firstly thought it was a great show, arena and crowd were ace.

Eddie deserved his win and hixxy made him work for it more than the points suggest imo. He was nipping at his heals on every event. They both performed great.

I'm disappointed for bish and felt bad that we were equal and I snatched it as bish is such a good guy, unfortunately they have to separate us and would have got it on old style countback too.

From a personal point of view I didn't know what to expect as I'm still learning my new body. My power still needs work which I knew but my athletism, speed and conditioning is definitely there. I sat at hotel on Friday and said after tomorrow I will know what route I need to take for wsm and I feel I'm on the right track after the event. Wsm is in Philippines which will be hot and humid so my better conditioning should help me and now we're getting back to the old days of strongman testing all aspects by the looks of things I feel I'm in a good place to continue on my path.

Wsm final events are

Frame
Loading
Truck pull
Car deadlift
Overhead for max
And stones

I feel if my power is up a bit there is 3 events i could potentially win and 2 I could be top 4 only the overhead potentially being a poor event.

I'm excited to get back to wsm and for anyone that thinks I'm finished you hopefully will be eating your words.

Anyway enough of my rambling

Paul Smith did great I thought much as I think it's the worst event in the world his forward hold was great and really got the crowd going. Also I didn't think I'd ever see someone beat eddie on that event

Felix is still a legend

Luke was great considering he didn't get back till the Thursday before

And everyone else busted their arse for the crowd and played their part.

Strongman in Britain is still in a very good place especially with loz coming back too even without Eddie doing wsm.

Them final events open everything wide up.

No clear winner in that final. I'm glad to see a frame back in.

Looks like strongman of old!
