nothing to hide, please follow my life on webcam Member 255, 3732 posts | Heavy is just the right description of how the roads felt. No triathlon planned yet. Just a swimming race and a couple of half marathon later in the year. I want to get back out on my road bike. Spending hours on a tt bike you quickly forget how much fun riding can be. Time trial bikes might be great for speed but riding the road bike around the lanes is something I can do for pleasure!

At home I reckon I'm probably about one minute per five mile lap of the Island quicker so that would be approximately 11 minutes on a HIM. However the first year I did Wimbleball on the road bike I took 3:22 and I think (hope!) I'm fitter now so maybe not much difference?

I have just found out that the night I do the 100km nightrider event around Liverpool is the same day as Ironman UK , and I was planning to go and watch the swim ! I may just have to stay up all night !!!

Member 174, 1244 posts | The overhead shot made it look comfortable. It certainly didn't look like that from the head-on footage.

Member 5, 25581 posts Administrator | so happy for cav ! and the intervies when his daughter popped up make me cry a little.... anyhoo, did the ironmanUK loop today and I deffo felt the lack of trainer road sessions compared to when I went up hunters hill a month ago .... my conclusion : trainer road along with outdoors endurance sessions will make a good cyclist !

Was great to see Cav win and ride in yellow. He's almost become the forgotten man in sprinting with Kittel's dominance on the flats and Sagan on pretty much anything else. Great to see an athlete with so much respect for their sport too. Shame about Porte, I think he could have been interesting to watch in the GC but you'd be hard pushed to imagine it's not all over already.

Which rings true - I doubt he can be beaten for green by anybody out there under the current arrangements.Love how hard he rode today, too, because "I couldn't just sit up in yellow". Re f**king spect.

Member 174, 1244 posts | This is my 33rd year of following cycling and seeing Sagan go, then look around at 350m, ease off the gas, wait, pick the wheel he wanted, then go again, was a genuine 'Wow' moment.

Eat.Cycle.Sleep.Win Member 2, 12511 posts SQ 190, BP 150, DL 280620.0 kgs @ 99kgs UnEq Administrator | Couldn't agree more with both of you. I don't mind the intermediate sprints, but I think they should boost the points for winning the sprint stages. I grew up watching sprinters like Zabel and Cipolini and prefer the green jersey to be an out and out sprint jersey, and on a flat sprint, if everyone gets it right, Sagan doesn't make the podium. I suspect it suits ASO to have Sagan in green though so it's unlikely to change any time soon. To go again, like he did yesterday, was extraordinary.
