It only got moved to April last year, caught a lot of guys out as no one was expecting it. The year before it was the very end of August into the beginning of September. I think that was fairly standard for the years prior.
Not a clue why it is April though, it is ridiculous considering it isn't aired for 9 months, at the Europes last summer everyone was wishing the guys good luck at WSM and they were politely saying that it had happened but they couldn't discuss the results.

It isn't aired for 8 months in the UK, but not so for the USA. The date change last year coincided with a change of host broadcaster in the US, who want WSM as a summer show to fill their schedule.

This is review about Qualification Day 3 at The World’s Strongest Man-2015.
StrongmanRUS has information about Heats 2, 3, 4 and 5.
There were two events in the Heat 2 today: Giant Dumbbell and Basque Circle. What about Giant Dumbbell (100kg for reps, time-limit 60 sec), Dimitar Savatinov showed an excellent result – 8 reps! Look at his speed, it’s great! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qb8OCOJrNGo
We are surprised on Thor Bjornsson – he lifted the Dumbbell only 2 times. We know, he had third attempt, but failed it. But it’s enough to be one of the leader in his group and to be sure in the reaching the final. Video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=93Dsbvif5_U
Day 3, Heat 2 (unofficial results)
Giant Dumbbell (100kg / 60 sec)
1 place. Dimitar Savatinov (Bulgaria) – 8 reps
2. Rafał Kobylarz (Poland) - 4
3. Ákos Nagy (Hungary) – 3
4. Thor Bjornsson (Iceland) – 2
5. Josh Thigpen (USA) – 0
6. Graham Hicks (GB) – injured
Unfortunately, Graham Hicks had injured his legs, that’s why he stopped to compete.
What about Basque Circle in this Group, we don’t have an exact results, but have a few videos:
Thor Bjornsson: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fFYb8wVbuEE
Dimitar Savatinov: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SVOXA7VLZrI
Josh Thigpen: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jQqqra8L5E8
Heat 3. There are only four athletes, because Laurence Shahlaei and Benedikt Magnusson had injured earlier. There was just one event – Giant Dumbbell - today.
Day 3, Heat 3 (unofficial results)
Giant Dumbbell (100kg / 60 sec)
1 place. Zydrunas Savickas (Lithuania) – 5 reps
2. Mikhail Shivlyakov (Russia) – 4
3. Nick Best (USA) – 3
4. David Nystrom (Sweden) – 2
Zydrunas Savickas feels confident at his first place, so he saves power and today he did only five reps, but it was enough to won the event: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uKslK_AZ8Ak
Mikhail Shivlyakov is on the second place and he feels good – look how he dances: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tb952cO-w9I
And this is Nick Best Dumbbell lift: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mlveiFZkyhk
What about Heat 4. They also had two events today.
Heat 4 (unofficial results)
Kettlebell Throw (7 kettlebells: 22kg (3), 24kg, 26kg, 28kg, 30kg)
1 place. Dainis Zageris (Latvia) – 5 kettlebells (best time)
2 Gerhard Van Staden (Republic of SA) – 5
3 Krzysztof Radzikowski (Poland) – 4
4 Jerry Pritchett (USA) – 3
5 Alexander Lysenko (Russia) – 3
6 Mark Felix (GB) - ?
Basque Circle (about 300kg, basket with pineapples)
1. Mark Felix (GB) - about 2 circles
2. Dainis Zageris (Latvia)
3. Jerry Pritchett (USA)
4. Krzysztof Radzikowski (Poland)
5. Alexander Lysenko (Russia)
6. Gerhard Van Staden (Republic of SA)
Mark Felix is our hero) How he did it? Do you believe, he is 49 year old? Look how he won the Basque Circle today: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C8fZkWCLwM4
This is Dainis Zageris second place in the event: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xb-fSIR9dGs
And this is Alexander Lysenko: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=etSvVuYyKPY
We also have unofficial Overall Standing of Heat 4 after 3 days:
1. Dainis Zageris (Latvia)
2. Mark Felix (GB)
3. Krzysztof Radzikowski (Poland)
4. Jerry Pritchett (USA)
5. Alexander Lysenko (Russia)
6. Gerhard Van Staden (Republic of SA)
And now let’s speak about Heat 5. There is very serious battle, cause Eddie Hall and Mike Burke have 19 points both and Matjas Belsak has 17,5. There will be Truck Pull and Atlas Stones (with double points) tomorrow, so who will reach the final? What do you think about it?
There are results, which they showed today:
Day 3, Heat 5 (unofficial results)
Kettlebell Throw
1place. Mike Burke (USA)
2. Matias Belsak (Slovenia)
3. Grzegorz Szymanski (Poland)
4. Eddie Hall (GB)
5. Ole Martin Hansen (Norway)
6. Mike Caruso (USA)

He'll do just enough to win, as always. At most I would say he'd go for 230kg to set the record (again).
