exceptional. Safe to say he's taking the sport into a new era of ridiculous squatting. What is he 23? 500kg in the not to distant future.

He is born in 1990 so now in his first year as a senior lifter. He still trains his squat very light (for him anyways) so there is no telling where it will end as he gradually increases training weights.

Well, I dont have all the details for his current training, but he rarely goes above 300 kilos raw. Its probably a case of him becoming very strong despite of his training weights and not because of them. That being said his strength seems to improve quickly when the training weights are systematically increased gradually.

very interesting regarding the "rarely going over 300" can you send me your references, well worth looking into the training principles of such a phenom.
"... improves when the weights are systematically increased", isn't this the foundation of which every strength program is based upon?

Im sorry but this information is not available publicly on the internet. About him training light though. It is all about holding back and staying injury free, while training heavy enough to make gains. For Carl this for some reason is fairly light, atleast in the squat, as he is a true genetic freak.

And there we all were thinking Malanichev was going to be the first to hit 500kg in single ply walked out.

Would be awesome to see the two of them going head to head single ply.

Maybe he rarely goes above 300kg raw because he's an equipped lifter?

going down looked a struggle, popping up was simple.
Clearly stupidly strong but the suit just ruins it for me
