samue1son | Limits to who can enter s/m comps? | 20-03-2014 @ 12:52
Member 4416, 1371 posts SQ 210, BP 175, DL 240625.0 kgs @ 122kgs UnEq | Here's the thing. I know that I'll finish last BUT I had a brainwave of how not to. Then I thought "Maybe it's not such a brainwave after all". I said to my 63kg good friend who can't even squat 20kg "Dude, how about if I enter a competition, you enter it with me. I'll pay your entry fee, you can do your best & I'll cheer you on but you'll come dead last. That means I won't!" Is that idea legit. Short of belittling the sport for my own saving face, is there anything else to stop that happening?

He wouldn't do it anyway unless I threatened to bum him I think. I was just curious how promoters would react to somebody like him trying to enter if there were spaces and he wanted to lift.

just got PM'd Member 1945, 685 posts | Post Edited: 20.03.2014 @ 13:40 PM by samevans Anyone can enter. People will generally be very supportive to anyone competing regardless of ability. This only begins to change once you get to comps you have to qualify for. However in my experience people are always supportive.doing the above would not be seen as the doing done thing tho.

This pretty much covers it for me. He would be allowed, and supported, you would be regarded pretty poorly for your role in such a thing however.
