We all have a passion to some degree to the sport we do, be it Powerlifting, Strongman or Olympic Weightlifting.. even bodybuilding to a degree..

but does having a bad session affect your daily mood, i don't mean you miss a bench for example and it annoys you for a bit but then you calm down n forget about it and then go about your daily life..

I mean as in i had a proper wank session today and it has really f**ked me off, to the point where i'm sat at home just frustrated and in a proper bad mood and it has wrecked my day completely..

do any of you get like this too?

or am I just a soft arse !

either way, interested to see how you feel about the whole "bad session" situation.

Its depressing, when weights feel heavy or you don't make lifts you know you should. But on the other hand when you're riding a pb wave there's no better feeling

Out of interest what's a bad bodybuilding session lol where you don't get a pump or where you don't get bummed by purple aki after
AvatarWiegieboard
Yeah that's happened in the past a couple of times. To be fair, a lot of work goes in to strength building. There's the time put in for pre workout food, travelling to training, training, cleaning up, eating again, recovery techniques and eating again as well as the things you sacrifice for adequate rest etc. Even when you're not doing the sport, you're resting or eating or preparing for it.

I think this is why a bad session might bother us like this. It's not just the time we invest but the effort as well.

I hate bad sessions, I'll normally be in a bad mood until my next session, if that ones bad aswell then I get really annoyed and start to rethink my whole training, diet, life etc. PBs put me in an awesome mood though.

I am much more likely to get it if I have bad sessions leading up to a comp. It definately affects my mood, although not as much as a good sassion improves it.

I dont usually have time to sit about feeling sorry for myself though, so you are probably alone with that luxury Grin

yeah, make me feel like s**te!

but like someone else said, good sessions make me feel awesoooome Happy

I dunno if id rather involuntarily miss a session, or have a bad session. Hmm.

The only bad session is the one you didn't do

That's the way I think of it anyway

Sometimes we all miss a session here and there and neglect a healthy eating plan resulting in the "come back session" awful
TravisFandango
Maybe you just had a bad start to the day? Happy

I think the more you invest in something, the more pissed off you'll be if / when it f**ks up. There again you'll be more pleased when it goes well.

So, instead of sitting wasting your young free single life, get out and do a better session and the problem will be solved Happy

Good luck at the comp, plenty time for loads of good sessions in 6 weeks
