ok, i updated the table. Tokar, do new times man so they are all recent.

Now lets start improving them! Loads of folk no time yet, s**t time is better than no time at all.

Can we not have 1000m instead of 2000m, that way there is a less smaller chance of various Sugden members taking a quick trip to the infirmary...

Can we have a seperate womens league - mainly coz I physically can't row faster than about 1:50/500m for even ten seconds, never mind 1:50!! And it would be so nice to be at the top of a table, rather than the bottom, even if only until some other girl posts her time Wink Tongue

I'm going to measure the 500m next week.

Joni, I think you should have one decimal place on the times - cos it does make a difference. I'd certainly be pleased to get a 0.9s PB at 500m, but it wouldn't necessarily show up on that table.

New 2000m time - 7:19.7

I have to say - and this isn't meant sarcastically - I think that's pretty good for someone with your level of bodyfat.

Wouldn't have been taken sarkily even without the disclaimer, mate. It's a real handicap on these, not only because I have to move it around but because the gut REALLY gets in the way not only of breathing but also of stroke length [1], as you try to extend towards the pulley. OF course the t-rex arms and dwarf legs don't help either Happy. I was pleased with it, but I think it's not quite a max, since I was running out of air in the last 100m. Will try to top it soon.

I might try to reduce my time between intervals now.

Incidentally, Ant said he can't remember his best 500m time because he's always focused on longer distances, but it was in the late teens - 1:!8, 1:19. bas***d Happy.

[1] This is the only comment I intend to make at the current time about my gut interfering with stroke length.
