surely we can structure strongman so everyone who wants a go(within reason) gets a go, and if you don't aspire to be WSM then thats ok?

I want all people of all abilities to be able to do this sport.......but,
1.Dont expect to come first
2.Do it honestly and with integrity

but think of Drew, he's 5ft 5, 84kgs, he's done a few novice comps, never come top 5
he could do u90 comps, but there is only one of those a year in Scotland, and there tend to be no inters either(but a proper inter would be too heavy anyway)
so what does he do, is he not allowed to do novice comps, even though he is no glory hunter, and I doubt would ever win one(if he thought he would win it, he wouldn't do it likely)
what about the average Joes? (maybe less than average for Drew )

I personally feel that the concept of a "novice championship" with qualifiers is flawed. It detracts from what novice comps are about.
