Novice Championships 2012

Member 1025, 1032 posts | I was thinking of running some kind of novice championship next year where we would have say 5 qualifier across england and the top 3 from each would go into a final which would be held in gravesend on the same weekend as englands most powerful man.i was thinking of calling it either Sugdens Strongest Novice (if this would be allowed) or Enlands Most Powerful Novice.what do people think and would anyone be interested in putting on the qualifiers for it.i think this would be a great series as there are so many novices these days wanting to do comps.obviously there would be some decent prize money and prizes up for grabs in the final. | ||

 technical retard Member 172, 36827 posts SQ 310, BP 205, DL 335850.0 kgs @ 108kgs UnEq | Would be very difficult to run with STRICT rules about what constitutes a novice and what doesnt For instance, get some guys doing a novice comp at 130+, with 300+ deads, 130+ overheads....thats no novice IMO (I dont want to restart the tedious debate of what constitutes a novice or not..) Basically, I think you'd get too many "novices" trying to pull a c**ts trick! | ||
