Just how far are you prepared to travel to get some decent training sessions in. I'm not really talking about one off's but what your prepared to do on a weekly basis.

vegetarian with a big deadlift - who would have thought... Member 340, 13300 posts SQ 315, BP 190, DL 350855.0 kgs @ 110kgs UnEq | Well, I was doing a weekly and sometimes twice a week 80 mile round trip to Mark Haydock's unit for over a year but can't afford to at the moment. If finances allowed i would train more frequently at Oly' Sports Gym which is a 130 mile round trip, but will have to settle for one trip a month to each at the moment.

I took about £4 out of Sooty's bottom Member 685, 8719 posts SQ 225, BP 150, DL 290665.0 kgs @ 93kgs UnEq | I travel about 1hr or 50miles ( round trip ) to train at Tony's every week. I've recently made 3 runs down to the Olympic Sports gym and thats a 240 mile / 4 hr round trip. TBH for me it's more a money issue than anything else.

Member 170, 517 posts SQ 270, BP 180, DL 270720.0 kgs @ 125kgs Eq | In my younger days (long before marriage & children) I would think nothing of jumping on a train from South Wales to Birmingham or even Swindon or London to try a gym with the latest bit of super duper equipment or just to see some bum American body builder. Invariably I was disappointed but it was a real education! The best gym I ever trained in is Rob Thomas's garage. It nothing fancy but Its got a power rack, loads of free weights and a world class bencher to train with who also happens to the best friend a man could have. Yet I no longer have the time there and its only 15 miles away!
