It should go on what you have won, not how well you performed. Agree that there should be limited internationals in it, perhaps only one. Then perhaps first picked are last years WSM competitors; then people who have won a valid title i.e Englands Strongest Man/UKs Strongest Man; then if any places left go on the results from aforementioned comps. In an ideal world you would have regional qualifiers for it, where everybody has to earn their place regardless of name or past glories. | ||

Colin also ref'd at Londons strongest man which was a Giants live qualifier. I'd imagine it's too short notice to organise anything this year, have people already been invited to the British? | ||

Think it would be much different? I think Darren And Bryce have done alot for the sport in past 2 years. Even with the 105 worlds competition that was run it got decent tv exposure. Theres just no time. Thats the way i see it anyway. Its totally kknocked everything on its head being moved forward. | ||

Of course the change in dates make a big difference and of course Colin Bryce is the reason worlds exists in its current format. Besides this year though, the qualifying giant exactly black and white. You're probably not in the best position to comment.. But send someone for their chance on a 23 hour flight to Australia to compete with Jenkins poundstone and Burke or send them to Hungary to compete against.... or even worse send them to Poland to compete in a crooked comp. | ||

And athletes to that comp were invited...so no clear structure (there were guys there who didnt deserve to be there and were picked on gym lifts only) The only fair way is too have regional quals....but it will never happen Look I'm not having a go.....Colin does great things for strongman...there just isn't a clear route to qualifying for Brits...and thats not great IMO | ||
