Not necessarily could be old persons address he's also scamming or a junkies flat he pays, even a property with squatters in scammers are c**t's no doubt, if it's his address and genuine email/eBay acct I'd hope eBay/PayPal will give you your money eventually. | ||

Member 5, 25571 posts Administrator | mmm , unless the emails match (the ones the thief used to contact you and the ones connected to the paypal payment) then it seems like that account was hacked ebay is so connected to paypal that i guess all that needs to be hacked is the ebay account , and the paypal payment could well be the same password ... | ||

Definitely good to get proof of collection from the courier, this is the first thing Paypal will ask for in a dispute. Phone them up if you can find them (the carriers) and see if they can provide something showing proof of collection and also of delivery. Phone the police to open a case anyway (Paypal will likely advise you to do this anyway). We've had it happen 3 or 4 times, and even with proof of posting, they've decided in favour of the buyer every time. | ||
