very positive in my eyes, getting them to learn the complex oly lifts, with a focus on form, and alot of bodyweight and gymnastic stuff as a youngster is a solid foundation for any sport you will take part in when you're older.

Exactly, which is why I don't understand the "it's cool to dislike crossfit" attitude.

Put the word crossfit in front of anything that all ready works and sell it as new lol.

crossfit is everything and nothing.

saved myself another £70 this month alone.

Will the posedown be for max, reps or while hanging from gymnastic rings?

I got told by someone on Facebook that he did crossfit with his weight training. To me that would just be circuit training Tongue

The reason I did this was we have so many CrossFitters who are former college athletes who are in awesome shape at 100kg+ and they stand no chance against the guys at the games but could put on a damn good show when they are put against guys similar. There was a guy at the Games last year, I only know him as Big Del, hes 6'7" 275ish lbs and freaky strong and competes on a team, he went further alone then any team as a whole. Hes in the video at the 30 second mark.

It's the American way to make things bigger and louder - I think crossfit may be a bit too "shouty" for English ears !

Nothing wrong with people getting fitter and lifting in an organised competitive way

There's a crossfit gym opened opposite my work - I would love to use the bumpers, chin and dip stations and the GHR - but I don't want to pay the prices, or join a class
