Right it's my first comp this weekend and Its prob been asked a millions time before so I appologise for asking again but what things should I eat before my comp and inbetween events ( sorry for spelling but I'm a fik yellow belly lol)

Iv been thi king and I think my usual breakfast of six wheaterbix and four eggs to start, have some porage about two hours before I start my comp and eat a little chocolate and drink lucozade in between events, I'm prob way of but easy carbs is what I need isn't it??? I usually have somethin to eat about a hour before training usually so I'm going of the same basis, ant help will be greatfully recieved.

sounds like a sensible approach mate.

Dont change too many things from what you usually do on your event training sessions.

Dont know how much all this makes a difference, but on a long day it definitely will make a difference to have the blood sugar levels solid and steady intake of sugars.

I remember I put a bag of apples and bananas in my kit bag last year. Didn't eat them though, and they'd made a right mess when I emptied the bag 3 months later! Roll-Eyes

So I want and need a steady sugar and callory intake then lol I bet the mess was lovely and brown lol,
thanks alot for the reply can't wait now only three days to go, I know I won't win but I'm quitely confident I should do quite well, fingers crossed anyway lol

i tend to drink a fair few calories (protein shakes, smoothies) through out the day as i find it hard to eat, often im wandering about and cant sit still (get yourself a folding chair, you know the camping type)

Am I eating right now I'm carving up, a full jar of chicken corma four chicken breasts two narm breads and pint of water to wash it down lol. Just worked out the carbs it's almost 250g lol

That's not a bad idea about the chair mind u the better half is coming so I bet I won't get chance to use it lol

i think 1/2 the battle is what you eat the night before i tend to go for a pasta dish thats not too heavy on the belly.

in the morning ill have some oats a few eggs and a shake. i like a Macdonalds breky so its 2x double S&E macmuffin 2 hash browns and some oj about 2hours from start. this is normaly my last meal untill the end of the comp but i eat jaffa cakes, harrybo,fruit ,carb drinks/beta alanine drink ie superpump250 and drink shed loads of water. this seems to keep my energy levels up thoughout the day

I'm not far off this. Im never that hungry so take things that are easy to eat.

The chair is a really good idea too.
