Member 996, 87 posts | After my horrendous experience on the kegs last week Ive sourced some kegs this week and filled em, I even had a 'key' from the brewery that didnt open these kegs, they are a pain in the arse. The key did release alot of the air pressure in side them, but wouldnt open em. What Ive done to fill them is using an angle grinder put a 4 inch ''slit'' in the top, just long enough to get water in, put them under a tap, fill em up, bear in mind the 22 gallon keg took half an hour or so to fill up. Once filled up I used a metal filler to just seal the top, it cost 5.99 and sets like concrete, its called Stevens bridger. Please note I know someones gonna come on and tell me cutting holes in kegs is dangerous, but its worked a treat for me, Ive got a set of kegs for 5.99!!

Member 671, 529 posts SQ 310, BP 180, DL 250740.0 kgs @ 128kgs UnEq | its tricky but if you pull the bung out as far as it will come and then shove a screwdriver down each side to release the safety catches took me 3hrs to do 1 but once you know how the rest are easy

Took me around 20 mins to drill the holes and smash the hole big enough to fill full of cement. Then another 10-15 mins to fill with cement and then job done. Left it to set overnight and mine weighs 110kg now.

Conan likes to listen to music Member 1155, 3461 posts SQ 150, BP 110, DL 210470.0 kgs @ 88.8kgs UnEq | Try driling a series of holes then using a jig saw to cut a small piece out. Then like Tom did use so sort of body filler to stick piece back in and seal it up. Might work
