i'd like to add a variant to that one...the guy who says after a really hard set, that he or a mate of his can do more weight or has done more weight in the past...or that it's all tech, haha!

f**kING COCK GOBBLING BB'ERS....specifically those who have to shout like they are getting gang banged by a particularly sadistic tribe of Pygmies, along with those who half SQ and think they know the f**k they are talking about

also,...those f**k wits, who unless impeded by some sort of injury, who think one plate for benches, two for SQ and 3 for deads, if they dead at all, think a lift with any of those weights for any number of reps think they are f**king Hercules....

oh, final one....the cum guzzlers who use the SQ rack for anything other than exercises done with heavy weights.....not friggin curls!

that hooper fellow is a bad ass, but Sam is spot on with the DL comment....Olech and the Finn, Lappi could always beat him, or come close because of their pull, though i am pretty sure that Wade has done 600+ a few times.

Siders and those Russians are gonna have a mighty tussle in Canada this year at Worlds....throw in Midote and all sorts of cool s**t is gonna happen!

had a good little session today:

pc +pp 10x1w/ 105kg....this was solid...i had one crappy clean and two or three rough PP...was focussing on synchronising the legs and arms together...may work on getting to the point where i can do doubles and triples, or just add more weight...this defo seems the more likely optionGrin

BP 6x3w/ 115kg...this was pretty strong today after the PP....defo gonna up the reps for next Saturday's session.

cable rows 2x15...just for a little extra upper back work after the abuse of Monday....

will do grippers tonight or tomorrow.

hey,

i did the following yesterday:

SQ upto 3w/ 170kg.....solid enough

DL 5w/ 190kg,,,a bit hard, and then i realised that the bar sleeve was gonna fall off, so a bit of a problem on that one...just gonna stick with using my bar to DL.

rack pulls from the knee 1w/ 210, 220, 230, 240, 250, 260kg 2 misses w/ 272.5kg....may make this a short term goalGrin

looking frward to this routine...will be good to get some weight OH, would like to make a decent run at putting a PR OH after the September meet.

i have to agree...when the feeling is right, just go for it...5 plates would be a damn fine lift!!!

just wondering....how'd the transition from Conv to Sumo go?? i'm wondering because i'd like to give it a whirl soon.....

the abbreviations thing comes from my OL days, it's easier to do than write down everything that way, especially if you wanna do more than a few variations of a given exercise....

been fiddling around with my new routine to be started tomorrow...here it is....

MON

SQ, Rhodes cycle as before, aiming for 195kg triple, and 180kgx5 in the SQ with singles in the range of 215-220kg

DL upto a max set for the day

5's: 190, 200, 210 3's: 215, 220, 225 2's: 230, 235, 240...or something along those lines with some wiggle room.

rack pulls....getting the hook grip used to heavier stuff and possibly working on some band resisted pulls

WED
PC and PP 10 singles

volume BP, 6x5, aiming for 120 for all work sets

CGHP or SGHP, sets of 2-3's upto about 20-30 reps for the day with meaningful weights, just for Carl, that'd be Snatch Grip Hi Pull

FRI

FS about 30-40 reps with decent weights, would love to break 400lbs in the FS, done 374 back in the day

CGRDL 3-5x5-8 reps, done sets of 5 w/ 210kg, would like to get 220 for 5's, and over 400lbs for a set of 10

maybe some light PC

SAT

PC+PP, might just do the PP out of the rack here, but it'll be game day decision..10 or so singles

Floor Press or Pin Press upto a max single or triple, and rotated WRT grips, equipment used etc as and when i feel like it

arm work for the ladies

grip stuf will be thrown in when i deem it necessary, but it sure would be nice to close my newish IM no 3Cool

maybe getting an Eleiko power bar soon, we'll see...this is MOST exciting!!!!

both won their classes at the Euros this year, that 105kg lifter is only 19 or some s**t like that...that really is f**king AWESOME stuff, i guess the Chinese won't have it all their own way in the WL after all...

clean grip high pull...working on these so i can get used to accelerating the weights again...would love to hit a big PR on the PC and PP at the KC and maybe also try a PC PR...

Iain..tis a fickle world we live in where the ability to lift decent weights in the DL and close hard grippers do not INSTANTLY guarantee wealth, employment, happiness and the best quality of trim...but alas, i soldier on with the reading and prep workGrin Grin Cool

did the following today:

PC+PP 1w/ 60, 70, 80, 90kg 10x1w/ 100kg...solid enough, the cleans felt better today, and the PP is getting better, but it is still rather ragged...I WILL CRUSH 120 at the KC!!

floor press 3w/ 60, 80, 100, 110, 115kg...the last one was a grinder, and possibly a PR of some description, but i couldn't really tell you for sure.

CGHP 2w/ 60, 80, 100, 110, 120, 130, 140kg...smooth, and snappy....i am toying with the idea of a 300lbs PC this year...hmmmmm...

the tour went okay...i like Majorie, one of the PEP's...she's cool, and it seems the all around programme is neat WRT the way they push you to become a better pharmacist, as opposed to an exam passing machine....

AFA getting a job there, i'd like to think that it is a likely, but until the apps are in in Aug, and i go through the interviews, i can't give you an honest answer...so it's back to working on my application and reading the PJ to keep abreast of issues regarding pharmacy and the NHSGrin

220 went up fairly smooth...easier than at the first KC....i thought it was on

will be doing a classic peaking cycle for the next bit of training and put the high volume bit on the side for a while, maybe 8 weeks or so....

couldn't wait until Frday...

did the following today:

DL 1w/ 120, 1240, 160, 180, 200, 220kg 2 misses w/ 245kg...missed at the same as before when i tried this weight...f**k, f**k, f**k!!

PC and PP 1w/ 60, 70, 80, 90, 100kg 1pc w/ 107.5kg....a bit rough on these...will be practising these for the KC on the 16th of Aug...would like to do 120-125kg.

BP 6x5w/ 110kg....ended on a bright spot...this tied my PR for sets and reps with this weight...will go for a few more kg's next session.

grippers...a little more progress with the 2.5 RH...a few mm closer, easily CCS'ed my filed rb 160 LH, onto the 2.5 LH.
