6 doubles w/ 87.5....nice bec/ my best ever double is 90kg...so this progress
8 singles w/ 87.5.....just to make some extra volume

3x6w/ 70.....will run this up to 3x8-10 for some pump and growth

i think when i can get through the series 7 times for a total of 21 reps with an average weight of 90kg, then i should be good for 100kg or a bit more....happy days Happy

back feels okay, and i think i shall try something on Thursday so that'd be 6 days off from that stuff....i reckon i will do a heavy set of 5 w/ 210-215 and go back to 190 for 6 x 3-6.....i will make another run at 205 x5x5 in a few weeks

for me it was NYE 2008.....

i had a MASSIVE bender, and in the morning and in the normal post mortem of the evening with my mobile and my mate i just couldn't drink anymore and i quit for over 2 years...since then i have had about 10 beers since January of this year and i can't say i miss it.....

though i do always wonder how on one morning i woke up in only a pair of torn corduroy trousers after having lost the rest of my clothing....

but to each their own..Happy

did the following today:

strict press

8 triples w/ 85...good stuff here, will go to 87 next session.....i think if and when i get 90 for 5 triples or so i will try a PR...would like to hit 102 or so

stretching

back is not proper f**ked, but it is sore......so i am going to forgo SQ/PC/PS/pulls for the next week or so and just do some pressing, curling, stretching and ab work and see if that helps

the SQ was actually quite good today if only because i hit multiple sets of 5 with this weight for the first time.....the sets of 3 let get a bit more volume with this weight than i hit last time, so that was good too...

in addition this was hard as f**k today, form was definitely not at its' best......defo right on the brink of overtraining and maybe getting injured.....when i hit this for 5x5....i am gonna have a week off of SQ, just hit upper body work, press and curl etc and then i am gonna smash a new 5 rep PR, i think 215+kg should go......looking for 500+lbs by the end of the year for 3 reps Cool Cool Cool

may do strict OHP tomorrow, or if not defo on Saturday.....8 triples at 85 sounds about right

PS - on a slightly unrelated note....bought my ticket to move to the US...happy f**king days indeed.....bit scared as i am giving up pretty good cash from various jobs i have been offered to go there and be poor for a semi-indeterminate period of time, but f**k it.....you gotta gamble sometimes and let the chips fall where they may Grin

the pressing was very good....i think this was the best it has been in some time....i think if and when i nail 6 series with this set of weights then i should be good for a PR....just need to get 95 feeling like 90 does, that is smooth and a weight i can do any time i feel like it

was going to SQ today, but the body said no......in hindsight, i have had some really solid sessions over the last week or so, especially PR'ing in the power clean and hitting some good volume with 205 in the SQ.....so maybe there is a degree of cumulative fatigue.....will do some volume PC tomorrow, 115 for 6 sets of 5 or so along with some power snatches and maybe SGHP

TBH, i am not quite sure would be the honest answer.....i am going to start doing some heavier pulling, RDL to be specific, to get used to the heavier stuff....but none of it is being done with DL in mind, if i were to go down that route, i would do speed DL.....any time i have done those, within a few sessions i have been able to pull 240+ w/ no issues....but it is something to think about, i really would like to pull 275kg and i think i have the natural ability to do so, but i am not sure when or if i will specialise for a bit.....my immediate pulling goal is to up my best set of 5 in the PC and PS 100kg and then i'll go from there

did a nice little session today:

clean and strict press

6 triples w/ 85
4 doubles w/ 85

pretty sure this is the most amount of triples that i have done in a single session so i am quite pleased with this.....aiming at 8 triples and then will add another 2.5kg

power snatches

3w/ 40
3w/ 45
3w/ 50
3w/ 55
3w/ 60
3w/ 65
1w/ 70....rough as f**k here......light and easy weight, but seeing as this is the first time i have done this lift in looooooooooooooong time, as in a few years, i am quite pleased...80kg is my PR.......

thinking the plan will be to add in 8 sets of 2 reps as work weights....this will allow me to hone my tech, and save wear and tear on my thumbs....this will be slotted in to my power clean sessions in some way along the following lines:

pulling day A

power snatch 8 doubles
power cleans 5 triples.....these might be progressively heavier or sets across, not sure
CGRDL 3-5 triples

pulling day B

power snatch 3 doubles......with the work weight from the previous session....this will be for tech work
power cleans 3-5 sets of 5 reps
SGHP 3-5 triples

good times i think, or not...who knows? it's almost like i am citrus fresh Happy HappyHappythe only thing i would have to do now is add in a few jerks on one of my other days and job done Eek
