Excellent bench and an excellent result from it! Great news.

I actually went up to a difficult equal-PB on Friday (you correctly remember the last time I saw you on c+p day, which was the week before), and then did 3s from the hang Happy... do I stay moderate this week, then?

Of course if Andy's there I'll just do as he tells me Happy.

I saw this thread and thought something had happened to strong boy and occasional poster McLaren. I'm glad I was wrong.

That's right, there's usually something good that gets missed.

What time are you in Friday, Jeff?

Very, very good session tonight mate.

I know that feeling, mate. It shows you care, which is a good thing as well as a bad.

Sorry about that, man. Rest, heal, dominate.

Wednesday 21st November, Adlington

Bench 20x20x2, 55x3, 70x3, 90x3, 100x3, 110x3, 120x3, 130x3, 137.5x3, 145x3 PB, 110x14.

Incline Smith Bench 60x3, 80x£, 90x3, 100x3.

Triceps Pressdown (in lbs) 55x3, 88x3, 121x3x2.

So, I no longer have a single PB Happy. Again, these got better as the sets went by, with 137.5 being nice and smooth. The first two reps with 145 were pretty easy, the last was rather tough. Happy Happy.

Peter and Aaron benched well, Joni did a huge amount of work, Mark F demonstrated his new and improved deadlifting form, and Steve was scary in a variety of lifts. Nice.

I try not to type one-handed, y'see.

Looked pretty to me. 115 is 250lbs, and you look like you have that on tap Happy.

Peter and I are usually down in the 4:30-5 range, most of the other regulars are a little earlier.

I was side spotting on your 140s so it was hard to tell, but they certainly weren't high. I think you'd actually still be better another bit lower with more speed in your dig, but that'll come with time and confidence!

Monday 19th November, Adlington

Squat 20x5x2, 70x5x2, 115x3, 145x2, 170x2, 115x5.

God I'm a wa**er. First 170 rep was dreadful. Second was fast and easy but not particularly pretty. Not getting quite enough bounce out of the bottom, and also, I think taking over-big jumps on the way up. Next week we'll do something like 115x3 135x2 150x1 160x1 170x1 180x2.

Deadlift (in pounds) 132x3, 220x3, 300x2, 350x2, 390x2, 430x2 (roughly 195kg).

And that was that. Superlative squatting from Peter, and rather good from Big Mark and Little Andy too.

Hadn't noticed that hidden away in your writeup! Hope it was a good one.

What, you think there's another Mark Felix in Britain capable of pulling over 800lbs easily?
