Most of my training in the past has been of a bodybuilding type but really wnt to get into Strongman in 2013 but after years of split routines and re jigging every 2-3 months i'm really stuck when it comes to a routine that will help me with Strongman.
After looking on many sites these are my thoughts. Any advice or feedback would be much appreciated.

Going for a Push/Pull/Legs/Events routine

Monday:
Push Press/Clean &Press (5sets 3-5reps)
DB Shoulder Press (Standing)/1 arm standing DB press (5sets 3-5reps)
Inc DB Press (3sets 6-10reps)
Hammer Curls (3sets 6-10reps)
Tricep Extension (3sets 10-20reps)

Tuesday:
30-45 mins Gentle Cardio

Wednesday:
Deadlift/Partials (5sets 3-5reps)
BB Row (5sets 3-5reps)
Lat Pulldowns (3sets 6-10reps)
Good Mornings (3sets 6-10reps)

Thursday:
30-45 mins Gentle Cardio

Friday:
Squats (5sets 3-5reps)
Front Squats (3sets 6-10reps)
Leg Press (3sets 6-10reps)
Seated Calf Raises (2sets 15-20reps)
Standing Calf Raises (2sets 15-20reps)

Sat or Sun:
Varied Events inc. Log, Farmers, Yoke, Stones, Shield, Tyre Flip, Axle (Deadlift/Press)
Not all of them every week.

Also would do a warmup set or 2 for most of the excercises above.

All your views and comments very welcome, just want to get it right.

Thanks in advance

Yes.

Lots of volume though, may struggle to recover!

I tryed that pull/push/squat/events. It was a bit much for me but ok for some. Heres what i do now.

Sunday - events including a press event
Monday- rest
Tuesday - squat & deadlift. Swaping each week what goes first.
Wednesday - rest
Thursday - pressing.
Friday - misc. usually cleans,upper back,biceps,forearms,abs.
Saturday - rest

Thought about Squatting and Deadlifting on the same day but wondered if they would stop me getting the best from both, looks like another way to go though, thanks

Stopped weighing myself a long time ago as i found i focused too much on
I've done 265kg bench but also done 300kg bench on a smith as there is no one at my gym i would trust to spot me with that weight and i train with my girlfriend.

I would work up to a heavy set (a single, triple or 5) and leave it at that rather than sets across (if thats what you were getting at). Maybe then do some doubles or triples at 70-80% and then do assistance.

Cool, you see now my answer is differnet to if you were 90kg wiht a 200 deadlift Tongue, first off like you say you haven't done much 1RM work but have some great lifts especially your pressing........ IMO drop the 5 set work and 3-5 reps as you'er not going to go near your max there and i'd guess you're quiet good at reps if you've trained similar to that for a while, 1 or 2 top sets of 3-5 should be good with a near maximal weight .

It looks to bodybuildy to me .... THat's not a bad thing with the assistance but on your main lifts squat overhead bench and deadlifts i'd go alot lower volume and on teh squat and presing higher frequency

Without actually seeing you lift it's almost impossible to say but 9/10 times lower volume higher frequency with close to maximal weights usually works on squat and pressing, on the deadlift i find people burn out to fast so lower volume low frequncy nad make sure your events include some form of pick up each week e.g farmers / frame etc.
