top man!!!! iv had god knows how many ops, not a kidney tho! but i guess as all operations itl take time 2 recover but im sure as far as weights go, ul b back 2 top strength in no time. theres a wonderful thing us humans hav called muscle memory! i was off for 23mnths with a knee reconstruction and now im lifting much more on lower body than i did b4 it.... youl b fine im sure, best of luck 2 u and ur mam...

My cousin was born with one kidney not working at all and the other not 100%, it's only running at 70% or so. He's fine, working as a chef for 12 hours shifts in a hot kitchen and has no health problems. If your one kidney is fine, you'll also be fine.
