115kg x 0 reps --Failed the clean. Wanted to got for a push press pb but guess I need to work on my power clean a bit first. I know my lower body is strong enough and I always fail be cause of lack of trap power. Gonna start adding in shrugs and build so upper traps since mine are little babies right now.

Cheers mate. Think I could have hit a bit more but my training time is really tight this week. I'll be lucky if I can get half and hour sessions in, bloody early shift.

Had to quit at this point since pain in my tooth had become unbearable. Ended up going back to the denist yesterday and it turns out I have an abscess and it's absolute agony. Got antibiotics for it now but no further action required. Basically in a week I should be fine.

65.5kg x 10 reps --It was set up so I jumped and bashed out a quick set

BOR
60kg x 15 reps --Again it was set up so jumped in quick.

Ghetto Log
75kg x 10 reps --First rep from the floor, rest from shoulder. Think I might make these even lighter and just work on being explosive. I've got no power with the log, could just be lack of experience I guess.

Video is a bit on the dark side but you can just about make it out.


Think I'm on the mend with my abscess, didn't feel like it held me back today but didn't really push the volume either.

Well after reading your log I decided to hit the reps for a bit and not focus so mcuh on 1RM. Seems to be paying off so far. How long did it take you to start seeing progress on the Log (press), I'm just never happy with it.

The log has just steadily increased since I bought it a few months ago, to be honest I'm still not confident with it as my push press tech is pretty crap and it ends up being like a strict press. I'm on deload week now so I'm going to do more tech work this week with the log, going to give one motions and jerks a try. And when the new phase starts I'll change the log strict press I've been doing for jerks or one motions depending which I feel better at.

Keg Press
~50kg x 2 reps --Not sure why I did these but they were fun. The Keg is about 3/4 full of water and cleaning it is a task and a half, much harder than a log clean. Pressing is also fun because of the stabilisation.

Bench Press --Completely unsheduled but I was early today and the bench was setup from yesterday so it would have been rude not too.

A1 ATG Squats

140kg x 3 reps --Wow these were deep, think my form went a bit off right in the hole since realistically I lack the flexibility to go this deep. I used a box to make sure I had uniform depth but these weren't box squats more squats to a box. The box was 6", think I need to adjust this to be 9" and they will still be deep and form should not suffer. Loves these even though I can't got as heavy.
A2 Farmers Walk

90kg (Each Hand) x 40m (Turn @ 20m) --Dropped from my right hand about 10cm before the entire bar was over the line.
90kg (Each Hand) x 40m (Turn @ 20m) -- Could feel my right hand opening just after the turn so turned upo the speed and almost ran over the line.

Happy with today although I'm a little supprised my right hand started losing grip. Thats my strong hand but I do have a lot of bruising on my palm so I wonder if that could be a factor. Just need to keep loading these up and conditioning for higher loads I think. I've done 125kg each hand before so I guess I'm out of practice.
