What happened with the bench? Did you pick up an injury or the like or did it decide it'd lower itself a wee bit for a while?

Think its mainly been a bodyweight thing. When i benched 140 by gym time i was probably about 102kgs. Now by gym time im around 96kgs. I changed my grip aswell which hasnt helped but going to go back to my old grip as i feel stronger with it.

Called it a day. The 260kgs felt alright and went up without too much fuss. I reckon i could pull a fair bit more but again the grip will be the deciding factor i think. Anyway going to rest up til the comp now.

Juniors

Weighed in at 92.9kgs.

Squats
Warmed up to 150kgs
1st attempt - 175kgs - no lift not deep enough Eek
2nd attempt - 190kgs(asked for 187.5kgs but misloaded) - good lift - sunk it
3rd attempt - 200kgs - no lift - depth again but there was more there

Bench
Warmed up to 100kgs
1st attempt - 110kgs - good lift
2nd attempt - 117.5kgs - good lift
3rd attempt - 122.5kgs - no lift - got it up but arse was miles off the bench lololol

Deadlift
Warmed up to 220kgs
1st attempt - 240kgs - good lift
2nd attempt - 260kgs - good lift - grip was going though Unhappy
3rd attempt - 265kgs - no lift - grip is awful

Total = 567.5kgs

Not an awful day but was a little disapointed with my performance. First time weighing in near 90kgs since my first comp and think my bench took a fairly large blow cos of it. Not an awful day though and think i set a junior deadlift record for the 93s and maybe a total Confused Steel got videos of my lifts so will hopefully get them on here some time later on this week.

Your lifting looked very good. 2nd best unequipped junior on wilks. You did get deadlift and total records - and your deadlift was record for both unequipped and equipped. And you were equal the senior unequipped deadlift record held by Robert Love - so 1kg more and that would have been a good one to take.

Squat - its always going to be difficult for you to sit into a squat (which helps get depth) due to your long legs. I know you had a wider stance earlier - have you tried going back out wider a wee bit just to see if that helps ?
Bench - work on locking your bum onto bench - and train that way religiously so it becomes second nature rather than a distraction during when competing.
Deadlift - talk to Stephen O'Donnell about what he does for getting his grip set - once you get that sorted v.big numbers will follow.

Just some ideas ...

BTW - if you had got the 200kg squat that would have been a record, standard is set at 197.5kg.

Called it a day there. Decent session. Going to be starting a planned routine starting on monday so hopefully having a structured idea of what im doing will help training. Also going to start eating more again as the past 3 months or so ive been training on a calorie deficit. Ill keep my diet clean and keep the weight gain slow to avoid as much fat buildup as last year haha.

Squatted with my new rehband knee sleeves tonightHappy Bought them cause the gym gets freezing over the winter and need some warmth in my knees when squatting. Did the job nicely. My upper backs been neglected lately and it showed with the weakness in the pullups. This is one of the two main priorities for me to sort out other than grip. Knackered!
