Decided to squat.
dont know reps etc
worked up to 150 x 1 beltless PB!
Belt on 160 x 1 - Horrible rep. However, 5kg away from my max and this was unpshyched and at a lighter body weight. Also didnt eat much today
So good session

Rack pulls from just below the kneww
worked up to 210 x 1 - PB here aswell

Also how could I forget. Neil set up a crazy band apparatus that took about 70kg off at the bottom and 50kg at the top. It was a weird experience. Worked up to 250kg x 1. So worked out at about locking out 200kg.

Quite a strange but good session, also so much for a deload. My strength is back and even more there i think

Pretty sure it was 90kgs. We had the 25 and the 10 to get it to stay down.

Squats 5s week

160 x 1 - Videoed this rep. I didn't get what Ken said the other night when he asked if I always lean so far forward. Looking at the video I now know what he means. I don't get my hips under the bar when setting up and do more of a semi good morning. I think I need to concetrate on pushing my chest through more. Since my forward lean caused my hips to come up quicker than the rest of my body as you will see in the video.



Speed deadlift with a 2" defecit. - 100kg
10 sets of 2 reps.
I seem to be able to pull these quicker than my regular from the floor deadlifts. I will have to get a video to show what I mean/ see whats going wrong.

45 Deg back ext
1 x 15 bw
1 x 10 mini band
2 x 15 blue band

Rope pull throughs
4 x 8, last 4 settings on the stack.

Pull down abs, side bends and the plank

Finished off by using a foam roller and then by using a med ball to loosen off my legs.

Easy session for me today. Just thought I would take in my newly aquired gymnastic rings and see what they could do.

Done dips, push ups, inverted rows, chins, face pulls, ab fallouts and rev flyes with them. All for about 5 reps for about 5 times. Weird experience but can definatly see how they will help the stabilizing muscles in my shoulders.

Didn't do the 5/3/1.
Did some rev banded deadlifts up to some singles. Not quite sure of the weights.

Box squat 10 x 2 - 80kg

Saturday Overhead

Bench 8 x 3. 40kg + mini band + chains
Felt fast and explosive. No idea what the actual weight was.

Alright sessions. Need to start hammering my deadlift as its s**te.

Stiff leg Dl 3 x 8 - 70kg - With Duncan's advice really gonna push these and rack pulls.

AB fallouts on gymnastic rings, 4 x 10
Blue band pull throughs. 4 x 10
45deg back raise 3 x 10 bw.

Really good session everything felt strong.

Good session today.

Went to my uni pals rugby gym which his dad runs. It was a really good set up. 3 york platforms with a york rack and loads of bumper plates and bars. They also had 3 good weightlifting bars.

Benching
72.5 x 3

92.5 x 3 - felt very easy.

5 x 10
45kg.

Worked on some snatch tech as my pal has done oly weightlifting courses and could tell me where I was going wrong.

60kg hang snatch PB
60kg full snatch PB

also hit a 50" box jump. PB
Called it a day as we had to go back to uni



After uni, went to the uni gym.

Incline dumbells.
4x8
22,24,28,30.

Dumbell Rows 4 x 12
30,40,50,50

25 dips.

Tricep pushdowns blue bands and then red bands. 4 sets to F

Banded facepulls 3 x 10.

Really good session today.

I know the feeling on the squat. I have the exact same thing going on right now with mine. I find it hard to get under the bar the way that other people do.

Cheers man aye it feels like its going alright hoping to hit some PBs at districts hopefully. I feel that my strength has came back after my stupid 5 weeks off at Christmas/Jan. Also yeah I think its the rack at the uni. Im going to use the ER one next time I am squatting and hopefully since it has smaller adjustable increments I will be able to properly get under the bar. Also well done on your squat PBs from the other day.

I've trained in your gym before but luckily I was using the big adjustable rack on the platform near the mirror. A good rack makes a difference. All the best for the upcoming comp. Looking forward to seeing you hit some PBs!

Totally hungover today and barely ate anything all day.

Then left as i wasnt feeling too good, my fault for drinking waayyyyy to much last night.
