World Deadlift Champs in one month - where's the hype?

Last year we had Asko Karu posting big numbers, Mehidipour (sp) hitting 470ish, Makarov hitting 490ish. This year, nobody has posted anything. WHERE'S THE HYPE?

I think the novelty has worn off somehow of years of being overhyped, but also that they don't have any 'big names' who are marketable that will pull it either.

It's hard to lift 500kg so there's never going to be much hype anymore

Is Bishop putting any big numbers video content up? He was huge at wsm. With the Russians and Iranians blocked from traveling Bish must be favourite to hit something close to 500.

He’s just torn his tricep so is out of today’s comp (Classic).
Think he’s waiting to see if he needs surgery before deadlift champs.

I have seen a dozen videos of him failing or falling at the upper end of 470.
