Felt a touch rough this morning, not sure why. Anyway, all good once I got going and these weren't too bad, HR maxed half way through the last set so I eased off a bit. Similar pace to previous 10's I've done in the last couple of months, I've not managed to get all three under 1:45 pace yet.

Well the session started off badly and got worse from there Grin. The two sets that I did were very hard, legs were tiring quickly and I was doubting that I would hold the pace for what would have been a horrible last three. Anyway, I got called to some family emergency for 20 minutes, when I got back to the rower I couldn't face carrying on so just did a steady 2k and called that it. I don't think it did me any harm to be honest, every third week is a 'hard' week in the program and it does get on top of me a bit. Steady(ish) few days now to hopefully recover.

I hope whatever it was that (fortuitously?) dragged you away from the rower was resolved ok.

Enjoy the "easy" week.

Yes thanks jt, I managed to fix my upset daughters roller boot Grin Usually I would be pissed off but I actually didn't mind for that session! I am looking forward to a few steadier days for sure, I think the 3x10 min on Sat finished me off for the week.

As above Sparrow, should be fine in a couple of days, it's a mere 2x8 min AT tomorrow.

Nice 15's.

I am thinking of doing my deadlifts on a Sunday, theory is to recover by Thursday for the harder sessions to come.

Do you do yours on Sunday (weights) for that reason?

Cheers jt!

I do the weights on a Sunday with the kids, it's just the best day for us to do it with other things that go on. I think it probably is the best day to do it though, like you say the start of the week is easier. I really suffer no fatigue / Doms from squats now anyway, they are so light, couldn't handle it on the rows Happy

My thoughts are not to go massively over what I would have for 2k as after all that is the goal. From my experiment yesterday I knowhow much harder a low split is to pull with low drag.

Good point. I still have the swollen fingers thing as well that affects the initial pull a fair bit, I'll test it out on the warmup and take it from there.

Messed about with the DF on the warm ups and settled on 140 which felt about right when I did the working sets. Tried to get a flat pace, looks like I could have put just a touch more into the first couple. Last set was flat out, a fourth set would have been considerably slower Grin. I'll put a video up of the set later but I think HR was just under 150 going into the last one. Enjoyable in a sadistic kind of way, surely I could keep that up for 3 minutes (sarcasm)?

very very nice, looking at that I have no doubt you can break 3 minutes for 1k.

Examines programme for next time Bim has any 3 minute rows.

Next week are you going to do 90s or 500's?
