From your recent training I think 3.02 is doable. Any plans for a 500? 1.22?

I've never done a fast 500m, but going off the 1 min I think 1:22 might be about right, I'll see soon enough though, got one pencilled in for next week.

I would say that 3:02.6 is about Bim's limit at the moment. Going faster than that is really, really tough Wink Tongue

That was the perfect time for you to do as I think 3:00 is out of reach for now, but 3:02 sounds much more possible Tongue

Lovely 1k and 20 minutes of rowing.

You definitely look good for a 3:02.4 1k! Grin

I was shifting some big wooden boards earlier today and as I picked one up I got a big crunching feeling in my right forearm / bicep area Roll-Eyes. Hurt a touch and I think it might be sore tomorrow but I'll see, after I finished shifting them I went home and jumped on the C2 to see if I'd be able to row ok with it. It did hurt on the pull to start with, but once it warmed up I don't think there was any weakness there.

Both the 2 minute rows felt decent enough, I put a fair bit into them without pushing too hard. Tomorrow is meant to be 3x45s AN, seems a little much for the day before but I think I'll go with it, just take plenty of rest between sets.

I also got the computer setup today, checked it was all working and had a connection to the BRIC website, everything was fine after a small amount of messing about with it.

I think the link below will be a live link for the day if no one has anything better to do than watch a few digital boats traveling across the screen Grin

I would say you have done quite a few fast 500's, most of them with 1MR!

Big wooden boards very interesting.

I'm looking forward to having a crack at 500m. I'm going max effort on every stroke from the start when I do it, hope I make it to the end!

Unfortunately these are boring boards, the last of the crap from when we took the garage down a few weeks ago.

Arm was aching / hurting a touch first thing this morning, but once I was up and about it seemed to ease up, and after the 2k warm up it was fine. I waited until my HR dropped to 80 between sets which was about 5 minutes(ish). Put a decent effort into the sets, but a fair way off flat out.

Just after half way you disappeared off the screen, I fear you had the dreaded HD.

I am guessing now it was just an internet connection problem

Yeah, it lost connection for a couple of seconds I think, it just showed 'KEEP ROWING' on screen, so I kept rowing!

Magnificent row PB !!!

these races are very tough on the nerves and time can be lost with the start being a 'go' signal....it all adds up to tremendous pain and then joy !

well done
