I didn't realise until recently that Hardwicke had also passed away (in 2011). quite often the most troubled people are also the most creative and gifted of actors/artists/musicians.

I envy you that. He was the best. And Hardwicke, along with David Burke who did the first series, were far and away the best Watsons. As far as TV goes Eric Porter as Moriarty and Charles Grey as Mycroft were inspired bits of casting. Many times people (myself included) form relationships with people we have never seen. People at head office who we speak with on a near daily basis, and who we know quite well, if they are married, if they have kids, which football team they support, hobbies etc. When we do finally meet them the usual response is - "I didn't know what he looked like but I didn't think he looked like that" An odd thing to say but it is extremely common. With Brett, Hardwicke, Porter, Burke and Grey, that is exactly what I thought they looked like, and exactly how I expected them to behave. And that made it just perfect
Fatpete | I enjoyed myself tonight - warning, this post may contain cheerfulness | 16-01-2017 @ 21:21
Hyper obese Pete Member 70, 17903 posts SQ 322.5, BP 205, DL 300827.5 kgs @ 133kgs Eq | Monday, 16th January, start 16:10 First one in tonight, so I train alone to start with. Squat, raw, sleeves, squat boots 20 x 5 20 x 5 20 x 5 20 x 5 20 x 5 60 x 5 60 x 5 belt on 100 x 3 140 x 3 160 x 2 175 x 1 190 x 3 Very smooth and very fluent and not at all heavy, I lowered the bar on my back a tad tonight and didn't look down as much as usual, and kept more vertical than usual, which resulting in a very rewarding final set. Big Phil arrived at 140 and he was rather impressed Change shoes to pumps Deadlift 60 x 5 60 x 5 100 x 3 120 x 3 140 x 3 160 x 3 160 x 3 160 x 3 160 x 3 160 x 3 These were a delight. Very good start position and very smooth. Technically the best deadlifts I have done in a long while. Loved this tonight Hack squat 60 x 5 100 x 5 140 x 5 180 x 5 180 x 5 180 x 5 The place is filling up now, and I have done, Phil has a few final compliments which cheer me up no end, and I away into a rather warm but wet night, with a big, fat grin on my big, fat face. If memory serves me right, it's been a while since squats and deadlifts put one of those there

I can't plan too far ahead as there is more "play it by ear" involved in this than I am used to. Interesting, very interesting. My thanks again for the help and encouragement I receive.
