I would like to arrange a session before the comp if possible mate, just got to find the time. Exeter is a bit of a journey from Manchester area. I'm planning on finding a strongman facility in the southwest that will be convenient for me to get to at least once a week so i can get familiar with event training.
If i can get to Olympic before the comp i will definately let you know though mate.

todays sunday session
started of mega wank (well after the spam) had no clue of what i wanted to do so started on deads
2x4x70kg
2x1x120kg
1x140kg < felt mega heavy! but also i get a bit of pain in my lower back if i try to do quick deads....
convinced the group to move onto squats...
fronties
2x4x40kg
2x2x60kg
1x80kg
1x100kg
1x107.5kg PB could be a 110kg in there (slightly belittled by shauns 15kg PB of 140kg
i switched to back squats for extra weight
1x100kg
1x110kg
2x1x120kg
3x120kg < real nice squats felt like 5 in there to be honest!!!
moved over to axle clean and press...somethin just isnt right about this!
i tried a few techniques and all feels mega foreign!
few x 50kg
few x 60kg
dropped it to 50kg and work on a technique which i think i got in the end...
then we moved onto log cleans
clean and press x52kg + 3 cleans
clean and press x 62kg + 3 cleans
clean x 72kg x 3
cleans x82kg x 3
after them i wanted to try the medley for the comp of the tire and yoke (leaving farmers due to back...only going to keep yoke light as its first time back...
2 x flip + 140kg yoke < blisteringly quick
2 x flip +180kg yoke < got a bit of a technique on the tire got some real snap to it and still quick on yoke
2 x flip +220kg yoke < tires were good and a PB on the yoke super steady and quickish
4 months out im feeling quiet confident ill be one to beat on this (all down to conditioning)
finaly we went back up and had a lil play with the 90kg stone... then relised the time..
had a quick go raw = not fun! still got it tho then i couldnt lap it!!!! jus kept slipping!
got a lil bit of tacky on and i mean a lil bit...
90kg to low platform
90kg to med platform &rt; felt rather good!
90kg to high platform &rt; s**t that thing is high but i sholderd the stone pinched my bicpep and grazed my chin gettin the bugger up but i feckin did it first time
after a crappy start turned into another mega session!!! big effort from all the lads defo a PB enviroment every week!

Good session there! I'm pretty jelous that you get to train with the actual kit that will be used in the events for the comp.... bas***d . Keep up the solid training mate, just don't get too good at deadlifts (I at least want a minor victory over you... )
