Fazc | Benching and Forearm Pain | 20-11-2015 @ 17:27
Sports an extremely muscular arse. Member 38, 6253 posts | Post Edited: 20.11.2015 @ 17:29 PM by Fazc Hello Sugdenites another question for you, Generally if something feels off when I'm Benching it's my forearms. Not the elbows but actually right in the forearm/brachialis. They'll feel weak, and almost feel like they're giving out. It's not something that always happens when I Bench heavy, but it usually happens when I've been Benching heavy for a while without a break. So what's causing this? How can I fix this? This happens with and without sleeves, Close or Wide. Wrists cocked back or straight. Or is it really just a case of when I need a break something has to give, and for me this is it rather than elbows or shoulders. This is not a massive issue right now, but it's a minor detail which I should really fix before it becomes something else. Member 3241, 2043 posts SQ 1, BP 192, DL 255448.0 kgs @ 136kgs UnEq | Agree with compression cuffs, but try not to wear them all the time I suffer from this issue as well, for me it's bursitis and unfortunately, there's not a lot you can do about it. However, I stepped away from the bench for a while, I was stuck at 180kg and couldn't get passed it, went over onto a lot of heavy dumbbell work and with the occasional floorpress set thrown in, I've since blown through the plateau You could go and see a decent osteo or sports physio, they'll be able to manipulate the area hell of a lot more than you can, it'll hurt like hell, but it'll be worth it!

Sports an extremely muscular arse. Member 38, 6253 posts | Thanks for the input lads. It won't be low bar squats because I've only just switched to them today. Hammer curls and the like I can definitely do more of. I like advice of just stepping away from them for a while. I suspect and a friend also suggested it was probably just some overuse tendinitis which needs rest. This is probably true. Won't be benching again until Friday so we'll see then.
