Forget the negative energy, all we really need to say is a huge huge huge congratulations for one of sugdens own for placing 3rd at what is eessentially the second biggest comp in the world.

To have only started a few years ago and to podium at the competition designed to find the strongest man in the continent which boasts countries like Iceland, poland, england, Sweden, Norway, Scotland and wales... All places where strongman is very competitive

x2

next year He'll have been to four WSMs in 5 years competing, having already become the best 105 in the world too.

maybe savages antics and people criticising Bolton are more important than having the strongest man in Britain in our midst.

I feel bad for Andy after all these negative comments . The man is a legend . At his best he would have won this competition easily .
Congrants on Hixxy's performance , top athlete .

I was walking around carrying carpets in a top 3 sizes too small. Need my ego stroked given I'm too injured and weak to compete at the moment.

Hixxy was awesome to watch and cheer on. Well done mate!

Ed is a freak say no more!

ALL the athletes were awesome and I got my money's worth for sure.

If's and buts mate, the bottom line is he wasn't at his best and he didn't win. Comments like that take credit away from Benni and Ed for their efforts.

Andy is a legend, but on the day he wasn't good enough.

Ok , I have never been fan of Bolton BUT people have to understand that Andy knew he wasn't ready do lift big . He did it for the show . So he shouldn't be critisized for anything .

I wouldn't mock Andy, at least he stepped up and tried. On the day, he wasn't up to his own high standards, but he still tried.

In terms of Brian Shaw, I think he would have pulled a very high number for sure. Perhaps on par with Ed and Benni, but he pulled out with an injury so we will have to wait and see.

Does anyone know if Saddler and Bryce have plans to repeat this deadlift comp next year? I guess that from the interest this element of the show had already generated, it will go ahead so a lot of the guys will be working on this... So we could see even more guest lifters invited to the deadlift comp.

You know for a fact that Big Z will be wanting this record, after losing the deadlift to Brian previously at worlds, he will want to come big stronger than ever and of course, Brian has a point to prove too.

I read today Z was semi-retired , he will train for WSM 15 only . Hope he makes Arnold but I doubt . Anyway I think he will deadlift next year and will break the record .
