When he did the 445 strongman record he hadn't been back in full training for long. There is a video on youtube somewhere of him attempting either 480 or 500 (can't remember which) and it left the floor. Was a full ROM attempt, not a hummer deadlift. Having said that if Andy was in the form he was in when he did 457.5 I would probably xpect him to beat Benni atvthe moment. | ||

The guy has just hand hand surgery... He's lifting with a make shift hook. He's the greatest deadlifter the world has ever seen, however even he wont be setting any world records come the day of the competition. | ||

It was a while ago that I watched that. (It probably only left the floor in some sort of Benni inspired deadlift themed dream). I don't think he will go over his previous best in the comp, but I think he could do 450, as the 445 a few months ago looked OK. I would really like him or Bolton to win. | ||
