Delts on delts bro.

Hope you get it sorted ASAP! Can you train around it at all, or is everything too painful?

Squatting with a wide grip and thumbless seems to be pain free so I'm doing that

Not doing anything else

Squats are me fave so could be worse

Ideal time for the squat routine you were thinking. Most GP's / A and E docs are not interested in these type of issues. after i dislocated my knee i was told in a+e that i had no injury and should be walking around lol.

Yeah I thought that cos it's mainly doubles and all i can do is squat. So I've started doing it anyway

Get scan next week which might yield something. Pain is definitely going now so physio is really helping but the swelling still there

It's neurological

The lump you see is not swelling but actually humeral head, not sitting in normal position because infraspinatus and supraspinatus are just not contracting. Could be a supraspinatus notch cyst apparently. MRI should elucidate more, find out soon

In the mean time i can't put any pressure around the shoulder in the form of upper body work or even a bar on the back for squats which is a nightmare, I am just leg pressing 3x week and doing sit ups, and glute ham raises

The lump is anterior, which isn't where the nerve is but still not wise as i'd sort of be putting heavy weight on top of a humerus that isn't in it's normal place. Can't do s**t all

Well, I now have a diagnosis.

A rare condition, no one knows what causes it. You wake up with unbearable shoulder pain which lasts a week, then the pain goes and you are left with a weak arm and shoulder, and some of the muscles of the shoulder/rotator cuff then waste away.

After anywhere between 6 months to 3 years, the nerves recover, the muscle comes back and you're normal again.

Some people are left with entire arm paralysis so I've been lucky it's only a few shoulder muscles, mainly supra and infraspinatus. Can't deadlift now because I'm at risk of shoulder dislocation, can't bench or overhead, can apparently do seated row back work and might possibly be able to squat but it's questionable.

So in summary I have a weak spazzy arm, can leg press, do leg machines, abs and some back work, which could last years. Consultant wasn't exactly understanding about lifting lol but was very friendly. He said 3 years from now I will still probably have my desired career but I won't be the next Arnold (does he even lift?).

Anyway I'm staying positive and determined to win in the end, kind of wanted to deadlift two fiddy before I die lol
