lol pause squats light are a shifty way for me to get matt moving the bar faster. he could do sets of 20 on the weight i set, as long as he reports "pause squats light and easy" then i know that they do not resemble slow grinding reps of old with similar weights. now your 160's are faster than you used to squat 100kg, and you are still working on teckers as you do the reps. Happy

yeah they defo fixed tonnes of problems. I remember before all this I used to only do 3x5 with +2.5kg every session and they would always just get grindy in no time at all

Mixing things up with a paused day and normal day just worked wonders

Haven't been following lately. 180 finally fell! Nice work. After Finals, I've got April to July to get some serious training back in. Hopefully you get a catastrophic injury soon so I can catch back up and surpass you. Wink

Couple of things, firstly, forgot to log my session on monday:

Squats

The other thing to report, is that since monday morning I have been in absolute agony with my shoulder. It is constant pain like a 7/10 thought I'd torn something. But I just woke up with it on mon morning after doign f**k all on sunday so it's a mystery. Doc thinks it's just a rotator cuff imbalance thing/impingement, and has recommended going physio to confirm, which I'll be doing in next couple of days. On co codamol for pain which is doing nothing. Didnt hurt when I went squatting on mon but probably shouldnt have, so that was stupid. Missed tuesdays bench sesh, will probs end up missing today's sesh. No idea what's going on

Nice squat PB. Is it possible that you twinged something in your shoulder when squatting, but the inflammation resulting from it only caused the pain a few hours after???

no mate the squats were (foolishly) done after already feelign the pain all day. It came on monday morning after a rest day

Something is really not right, i have just noticed a big hard lump around the anterior delt area of my shoulder. I cant tell if its a really firm muscle or if it's bone. Everyone is telling me there's no way it's dislocated because i've dealt with it for 2 days now but something is not right. Maybe it's a torn muscle that's just all bunched up and contracted? f**king weird. Physio tomorrow

Right im just rambling now but the thing that has me most worried it this;

If i try to imitate a seated DB press movement, i can't. My hand is level with my chin like the bottom of the movement, then i try to push my arm up and it physcially won't go. Like the muscle controlling that doesnt work, OR like something is obstructing it

The second thing really worrying me, is that what appears to be my anterior delt is f**king huge. Like huge as in, muscle I dont actually have. It's twice the size of the other arm

Swelling gone down a bit but still noticeable, feels quite deep but some can still be seen from surface under ant delt, roughly egg sized

GP: "I can see no swelling in your shoulder"
