Is there a magic recipe? it's easier the less advanced you are. it's easier if you are gaining weight, not got stresses in life, got excellent diet and of course... on insulina or not. i don't think there is a magic routine really. for a beginner to intermediate if you can't gain doing something like a relatively high frequency powerlifting routine (madcow 5x5 etc which has you squatting 3x week etc) then you're not attending to recovery enough (typically not eating enough) i've found i can now gain on two / three powerlifts now simultaneously. injury becomes a blight the stronger i get and harder i try to push - my bench press was going up until i damaged the AC. lots of factors like this start to hamper gains as you get stronger. I'd not worry to much about all three improving, but getting a better total. | ||
