The whole point of strongman is to test all areas of strength not make one more important than others. I can see the logic as it's s**t for tv guys not doing the stones but there must be another way. Cut groups down to 5 per group which should stop guys getting such a lead as only a 4 point swing per event and let's face it the last place guys in groups don't add to the Comp but can upset points if the have 1 good event. If I was competing and the did this for overhead I wouldn't be happy Platforms are lower in heats too hixxy you'll be happy about so at least it is fairer now. lower heights do give shorter guys a chance BUT its still easier for the giants right cause: Longer arms, easier pickup Thor can just one motion them all now ?

So be like my chest height and thors knee height lol

That's why I said it was fairer Tbh different body shapes have different strong points and we shouldn't take an event out because it's better to be taller but now at least the shorter guys don't have to press the stones. We wouldn't suggest taking squat out cause it is harder for guys with a 34" inside leg.

Of course WIldaeur or Felix for example are never going to beat Hix or Bleikaitis at pressing for example and vice versa you'd expect Wildauer and Felix to beat the latter at deadlift It is as you agree the double points which is unreasonable

It's also why I disagree so strongly with 2 pressing events especially in a 5 event comp

Farmers and deadlift although test similar muscles are different enough to be justified.

Still got a little bit of strength Member 400, 22054 posts | How about you don't score any points unless you get 4+ stones up? (Probably equally s**t/flawed, but just a thought.)

Still got a little bit of strength Member 400, 22054 posts | The alternative suggestions are flooding in! Financial incentives for completing/winning the stones? Just leave it as it is. If someone has dominated the heat they've earned the right to plonk one stone on and go through to the final.

It would also mean we could have an extra event in the final which is badly needed.
