I don`t Follow ManBoar If you put the strap on the wrong way around what does dampening the said strap do ?
MrSmall08/05/10 @ 12:22
My way: you fold the strap into your palm then leave a little bit hanging after wrapping, you put this between your fingers and grip that s**t hard.

well looking at kevs vid, thats not how i used the straps .... palm one side the strap goes down the opposite side of the bar and wrap under toward your hand..at the OSG i noticed immense slippage when repping the frame ... my starps were bone dry , dampening them with a bit of water seemed to prevent the strap slipping on itself if you catch me drift
they werent pisswet thru ,just a bit damp

I also noticed you chalking them up as well, so that's what I did and they didn't slip at all wrapped the same way as this.

Straps shouldn't slip weather they are wet, chalked dry whatever as long as they are on tight ... Well i've never known it

Just goes to show you haven't been unlucky then mate!
Strap slipping happens!
Think it's to do with which way your wrap the straps around the bar.
