Thanks, weighed in the 125kg for those records, was drinking and had breakfast so it'll be easy to be in the 110's again.A big thanks to everyone who helped me on the day, James Copping, Malcolm Kempton and all the others.

Thanks guys, was a really good competition with some great lifting and a good atmosphere. Tony cliffe went 330,210,310 at 110, still got a bench in even after ripping his shirt on the first attempt and having to borrow someone elses. Also dave battisson was presented with the total squat and benchpress gold medals from the european masters after the first place lifter was failed on a drug test.

Thanks Marc, the Fury will be on its way as soon as its had a good air and brush down.

Found out how to do external and internal rotations of the shoulder and had a go with them today

External and internal rotations, lots of sets x lots of reps

Face pulls- "

Incline bench on smith 70kg 3x5

The incline bench was somewhere between the rotations and pulls. My shoulders felt very loose after these, thumbs up from me for shoulder health. Also did some steady state cardio at 60% of max bpm, surprised by how low this is and will now feature as my warmup and down, time to lose some chub. Going to have some fun for 2 weeks then i have a 10 week sheiko cycle up till the british, been told this will sort out my technique.

How anyone does a front squat is beyond me, first set was alright then the bar dug right in, weights were easy but nearly lost bar forward. all squats were lovely and deep.

Front squat
65x4
95x1
115x1
135x1

Squat
135x4
180x1
200x1
220x1 (PB)

Deadlift, in the weightlifting shoes
110x4
150x3
190x1
220 2x1

E-Z bar seated curls
10kg per side 3x8

Had an attempt at militaries but shoulders not recovered.

All lifts were fairly comfortable, think theres 10kg minimum left on squat but didnt have the neoprene knee sleeves i've found and it was cold in the gym. also did 20 minutes cardio after the weights, working in the 60% max heartbeat range.

That squat beltless mate?

What's your best unequipped squat?

No that squat was with a belt, never squatted over 200kg without knee wraps so thats why its a PB. Also don't train for unequipped lifts so it wouldn't look like a max effort squat to an unequipped lifter, i would have no ability to grind it out of the hole, so its fairly fast all the way through the lift due to my equipped squatting helping the upper portion of it.

Ah right, cool.

How much do you reckon you get out of your suit? Any tips on how to get more carryover?

Thanks

TBH my technique is crap and i've been told i don't sit back into the suit and bend over in the whole so dont actually get the most out of the suit i could.

Knee wraps- descend fast, dip fast in the hole especially
Suit- Sit back into the suit, push knees out,

I was also given a good bit of advice to keep my back upright and load the suit was to push my back into the bar, as the straps and bar itself push you forward this counteracts that.
