NOTES;

Good session, squat strength is definitely coming back, form is improving. Did two waves on the deadlift today, strict deadlifts are working a treat. Overhead press first day instead of bench pressing, no 90% but a rep pb nevertheless. I'll gradually ramp things up from here. Upper body is starting to drop back now so will adjust accordingly.

Sounds like the new squat technique is coming along nicely, good job.

How's your bros training coming along for the Uni and College comp? I don't know him personally, but from the looks of his results he is a very good lifter, especially for his age!

Thanks, its getting better. He has had to pull out due to swine flu which sucks as he planned to smash the 82.5kg records. In January he did 555kg at 79kg at brit champs (197/115/242) all raw but due to doing them in an equipped competition the records did not count! He had made significant progress (200x3 squat in the gym, fast 125kg pause bench, just missing 130 at lockout and pulling a solid 220 for 3) but glandilar fever struck before Nationals hence the bad results (535 at 79). I think he has his head set on breaking all junior records up from under 18 now Happy

NOTES;

Good session! Best in a good while....squats is feeling very strong again. Upper body volume seems to be working a treat, definitely more weight to come on the close grips which in turn should help the comp grip. British uni's comp is just under 3 weeks away, little bit more hard training and I can drop things back. After that I will take a break from competitions, I need a breather. Perhaps take an extended period off training too. Happy

That's ashame he had to pull out and just unfortunate timing of illness all round for him recently. Awesome lifting from the sounds of that though (especially the squatting!), no doubt he's gonna do some serious damage to those other junior records!

Sounds like you had a good session today too mate, nice work!
