I reduced the volume of our toilet cistern (we're on a meter).
I nearly always use 2nd class stamps.

Ideas please.

Of an evening my father-in-law doesn't watch television, but sits in the dark with his little radio pressed to his ear. No lie.

Drive at 50 mph on motorways.

Eat as much free food as possible at events / buffets.

Use websites like Quidco before changing my phone contract.

- Using public transport - a weekly ticket costs me £14. I wonder how much traveling a total of 136 miles a week, just for the gym, would cost in a car?
- If the distance is less than 2 miles, I'll walk
- Eat a s**t load of cheap (but not cheap cheap) dairy
- Buying in bulk where I can (butchers are a good place to look)
- Home grown vegetables
- Keeping a limited wardrobe, and making sure that I get full use out of my clothes
- Initially buying expensive clothes (mostly when they are on sale), so that the can take the wear and tear of repetitive use (I usually wear hard-wearing hiking or trekking clothes)
- Purchasing discounted food. Nothing wrong with food that goes 'off' in a week, that is going cheap!
- Not going out
- Being fortunate enough to have cheap hobbies!

Sometimes, instead of eating Sea Bass, I'll settle for Cod instead.
