Training 6/4/9 Squat: 70x5 - loose suit bottoms on straight away; 120x8; 150x6; 175x5; 205x4; 230x4 - straps up; 230x4; I burst loads of blood vessels in my face doing the top two sets and my vision was a bit blurry after the first one. I need to stop s**t like that from happening, cos it can't be good for me! And my biceps tendons and forearms were so painful that, if I'd had the energy, I'd have cried... I got some video which I shall attempt to YouTube later. | ||

Well, I do when I can, but work has been rather busy of late, so I am doing a lot of sessions at Sunbury. I'd be at Sunbury at least twice a week anyway, cos I am squatting with Rick. Training 10/4/9 Speed bench: 40x5; 60x3x6; Very light on these today and only did six triples. Arms still a little painful. Bah! Deadlift: 60x8; 100x5; 140x5; 180x5; 200x4; 210x2; 190x5; Having sad "f**k Sumo" I am back to conventional deadlifting. The above is actually a lot of work for me on the deadlift, which perhaps explains why my competition max is only 237.5kg! The good news is that all of the reps felt good and nothing was hurting (except my arms as they did yesterday). When I deadlift straight after squats my knees and hips are usually quite achey. Not so today! Nice chat with various members of Team Bulldog, including Ian H, Steve M and Mr Kiss. | ||
