Can't see it doing you any harm, still got plenty of time to go before the comp. Will give you an idea of where you're at now and how much you need to do.

i would go by a feel - sorry for not having any more solid scientific opinion Happy

If your new form feels strong, go for it, bag that PB, or treat a max as your new form PB and use that as a baseline.

Set routines are what they are, they cant accurately preduct down to detail when you are on your top peak form, so you need to use a bit of gut feeling to milk most out of a routine anyway.

Lol! Great benching. Do you realise that that probably makes you Scotland's best bencher at the moment? Can't think of any tested benchers capable of doing a pair with 170 atm, but someone will probably correct me!

Titan every time!. If you arch and/or press back towards the head, get an F6. If you are flat on the bench and press straight up or forwards, get a Fury. Your relaxed chest size should be what you go for ultimately, but to start off with you might be better with your chest size plus 2 (ie if you're a 52 chest relaxed start off with a 54 and when you learn your line get a 52). You should be good for well over 200 once you learn the shirt.

What size are you? Might be a few old ones lurking about that you could start off with.

No - it wasn't an offer mate. I'm a 46! The size was just an example. Just thinking that if you posted in general bulls**t someone might have an old one lying about. Otherwise, the cheapest source for new ones is probably liftinglarge.com. $99 plus postage.

100kg x 5
130kg x 1 touch and go
160kg x 1 touch and go
180kg x 1 touch and go
185kg x 1 touch and go
190kg x 1 new pb slight pause then go
192.5kg x f it was so close
130kg x 10
90kg x 10
60kg x 15

i'm on cloud 9 haven't PB'd my bench in a year so but i know there more ther so i'm thinking of doing a 6 week build up to a 200 by doing the following
week 1 5 x 5 speed 50% to 60%
week 2 4 x 4 speed 50% to 60%
week 3 4 x 3 speed 60% to 70%
week 4 4 x 2 speed 60% to 70%
week 5 4 x 2 heavy 80%
week 6 1 x 1 max time
