Just checked and you are right, looks like I need to pick up the pace on the 500m's! old age traveller Member 332, 7976 posts | I too agree at the start you think "this is too much rest" watching your HR drop down into 2 figures They are nice enjoyable sessions though, I think it would be useful to log HR at start of each rep. For the 500's at 12spm max drag has got to be the best I guess the way to find out would be to do one @160 and 1 @210

Most of the time on these I start pulling about a second early so the initial pace is about 1:40ish on screen rather than 2:00. HOWEVER, on the 7th set I set off a touch early as usual, but the screen didn't update for a couple of seconds, and when it did the average pace was showing 4:15

The C2 did the thing again on the last set where the initial pull showed 4min+ pace. It's like it doesn't register the first pull for some reason, very demoralising at the time. Anyway, another distance pb by 15m or so and first time I've hit 1:45 overall pace on 3x8 min. I noticed I must have passed a Million meters for the season yesterday Oh, have we got a video? What did you have the drag on? My wife thinks it's a bit weird that I'm sat watching videos of a half naked man rowing on a Friday evening whilst drinking a can of Cider. I'm not really bothered - I loved it!

I forgot to post earlier, this is the start of the set where the C2 seemed to mess up, look at the 500m average at the bottom, it took me nearly 30 seconds rowing at 1:42ish pace to get the average under 1:45!!!! bas***ds The time is at 16:40 if the link doesn't start at the right spot.
