I've heard the pinning theory before. It probably makes sense tbh.

And it's safe to presume that we all agree, a compressed muscle contracts harder? Or is more willing to contract or is always in a state of partial contraction so it can contract fully much quicker when required or...no this is a bit of a minefield as well isn't it.

Going back to Rodger's two videos, those squats looked really good man. Looking forward to trying out my wraps tomorrow.

That's not exactly what I ment by altering leverages, I was talking more about the wraps changing the fixing point of the muscle/tendon by clamping it down further away from the joint.
I've not looked into it enough to decide what that actually does but I get accused of being good at stuff cos of insertion points, so I know at least someone believes this s**t lol.
And yes, high bar, upright, more knee bend should get more benefit from knee wraps.
Low bar is a typically "backy" way to squat, knee wraps will just make you extend your legs quicker and put more pressure on your back to finish the lift.

Tony raw, some people might point out that you telling tom how to squat is like Kenneth lay telling rex tillerson how to successfully run a company

This might shock you but weightlifting existed way before powerlifting so bouncing is actually really old!

Cut it where you will, but knee wraps are gorgeous.

If you dislike them, don't use them, but don't have a pop at those with the ability to find fun where you cannot.

Because of the climate I now compete it I no longer use mine, but I still have them. I always will. We share many happy memories and have never had a cross word.
