PaulSavage | Really really heavy sandbag? | 28-11-2013 @ 11:43
Member 2775, 6927 posts | Say if I wanted a 180kg sandbag, how would it be done? Would there be a way to do this fairly cheap? Thanks

Grass fed Member 1147, 7710 posts SQ 220, BP 185, DL 272.5677.5 kgs @ 113kgs UnEq | Im guessing a builders yard, that sort of place. I've never heard of an ironmind one being filled anywhere near that I take it this is to be used as garden furniture or something, cause your never gonna lift it or do anything useful training wise with it

I've been lifting carpets for 10 years, they go to upwards of 400kg. Trust me, I'll lift it.

my wood got all bloody Member 1001, 5711 posts SQ 240, BP 160, DL 272.5672.5 kgs @ 102.5kgs UnEq | The biggest I've managed is 165kg and that's pretty damn full at that point. I use an army style duffel bag. In fact it's probably easier to attached a video of me arsing around with it. If you want something heavier then you'll likely need to bulk it out with some heavier filling. Replacing some sand with steel or lead shot might be an idea.

Member 2775, 6927 posts | I'll try track him Anyone else got any ideas? Maybe if you fill a big duffell bag with gravel and compress it down as much as possible an then duct tape it a f**k ton?? Or that be nowhere near?

my wood got all bloody Member 1001, 5711 posts SQ 240, BP 160, DL 272.5672.5 kgs @ 102.5kgs UnEq | This guy has the same style bag as me but he stuffs small plates into the centre of the bag to bulk them up. I've not had much success with this method as I usually end up getting a face full of metal.

Why get fat to look big? Member 1330, 4797 posts SQ 300, BP 200, DL 305805.0 kgs @ 107kgs UnEq | I once lifted a 1000kg carpet, stuffed in a sand bag. Then went fishing.

Member 2775, 6927 posts | Simeon said: You can lift a 400kg carpet? Yes, though it's rare they go that much. I've done a 349kg for 10 reps just the deadlift part, obviously I'm meaning lifting one end here. I have also snatched a 187kg roll up then fingals finger walked it to the shoulder, span round 360 degree then ran it into the bay. I don't do stupid stuff like this often just if somebody challenges me and still most of the time I say no.
